I went straight to the boss, called major BS on that, and a few days later, we ladies were somehow professional enough again in the same exact uniform as the men. As they said, we can read these things or you can experience some of it yourself, but if you never speak up, never try to do anything about it, it is allowed to continue unchecked.

ska¡¡a ¡¡a well I only consider someone a hater when they feel the need to tear down another person or say something extremely negative about a certain thing when the situation is uncalled for. Like it’s okay not to like someone or something, but if they are not directly bothering you, why do you feel the need to express it. Or another enstance is when someone is saying much they like or enjoy something, and another person HAS to give their opinion about how much they don’t like it, and how much the other person is wrong for liking it. Like, you can have your opinion, but keep it to yourself, and let me enjoy what I enjoy.

Ryan Murphy has a diversity problem. There could be a very interesting storyline about a Black nurse but it doesn't fit his aesthetic.
@whimsysmith2835
@whimsysmith2835 3 жыл бұрын
@@littlegirlblue6326 - It is a story about sexism. It doesn't need to ALSO be about prejudice. The whiteness of all the women should make the inherent racism pretty damn obvious. And if the decision HAD been made to include a black nurse, why not have an indigenous nurse instead, or a Japanese nurse, right? Why does a "black nurse" check that box? I am tired of tokenism. Especially since BLACK LIVES MATTER, they do, but damn it, so do Hispanic and Native American lives. We don't fix prejudice by making it a black and white thing imo, because that just continues to exclude other minorities. And doesn't that actually give the times portrayed too MUCH credit? Acting like they progressively hired black nurses, when being old or slender was such a negative. Because, during that time, there is NO WAY that a black nurse would have been hired. A Japanese nurse would be in an internment camp, and a Native American woman would have only bern allowed at the mental hospital as a patient. I think expecting more hiring inclusivity in the show would deeply undercut the message of profound bigotry.
@Javielle
@Javielle 3 жыл бұрын
@@whimsysmith2835 This is extremely correct. I agree wholeheartedly and have been waiting for someone to put it more eloquently than I can. The focus of the show was truly sexism and that is important. Bringing in other topics would have taken away from the message of the show (which left me happy and crying and everywhere in between). Thank you for your lovely comment.

Whimsy Smith have you watched the show? There are black priests, the head doctor is an Asian man and nurse Bucket, a white woman, alludes to wanting to be romantically involved with him. Regarding how Black Lives Matter, she’s a black woman lol. Is it her job to also speak for other races? No. She cannot. It would be rude. That is THEIR job. She is speaking for a cause that affects her. Please refrain from policing the experiences of others
