Ratcheting vs Non-Ratcheting combination wrench Dewalt vs Duralast
The Dewalt 10mm combination wrench features Stamped hash mark pattern on wrench handle provides added grip points Longer panel design gives more torque during use Full Polish Chrome 13 degree offset box end for knuckle clearance Sizes stamped twice on both sides of wrench handle for easier size identification 15 degree offset open end allows an increased range of arc swing in tight spaces DirectTorque™ Technology helps prevent rounding of fasteners Full Lifetime Warranty Stamped markings provide permanent visibility and prevents wear over time
The Autozone Duralast 10MM ratchet was on clearance.

This is probably the most relevant combination wrench test as it included ratcheting and non-ratcheting with both ends. Test more sizes please!
@ClientGraphics

I would like to test more sizes just have to figure which ones and how to do them so they are most like a real world test.

Double boxed end Gearwrench ratcheting wrenches are probably the best wrenches I’ve ever owned. Brake on one side and ratchet with the other. Now I’m curious what side is actually stronger. Great job with this one.

Thank you for the clarification on the torque meter maximum at least someone sounds like they read the instructions and used it more than once! You nailed this review.

It bent like a wet noodle. It would be interesting to weld up a piece of metal rebar and see if it would preform better or the same than a cheater bar. I know my dad did something like that when he needed a smaller wrench that needed to be twice as long.

Nice to know that the ratcheting wrench failed with so little torque. Between you and Yogi [Red Beard] at The Den of Tools, you're KILLING these wrenches.

Looks like the Allen key is allowing the wrench to slip with play in table, while doing it one handed. Just an observation. Thanks for the ideas

I have since moved far away from the vise as it can’t handle to torque. Also upgraded the digital torque adapter just a little bit😂

I like the standard box end because it’s much smaller for those tighter spaces. But the ratcheting ones are super nice. I just bought some snappy ones with the 0° offset.

And I had always thought that the open end part of the wrench was the tool for tough fasteners. Seeing as how they work on the flats and not rounding off the points on a bolt or nut. Never thought the open end would fail so quickly.

I would love to see more larger sizes as well! I wasn't even planning on doing this video but another channel did one and was not able to communicate the difference between missing a decimal point and incorrectly stating the ft-lbs this just had to be done. Plus who doesn't want to destroy a ratcheting wrench. Anyone can do a box end wrench🤑

I primarily use non ratcheting wrenches to hold the nut while I ratchet off the bolt or vice versa.... Usually I will use a extra-long double box end non ratcheting wrench to break fasteners.... So... In my opinion you need both.... In various lengths and styles....👍

Craig Cundiff Totally agree, everyone’s application is a little different. I have both the extra long double box flex spline and 6pt non-flex. They are both amazing!

I'm not seeing a video on reversible ratchet wrences vs fixed direction. I assume without the switch and teeth in both directions it could have more teeth in one but I don't know.

Bro, you need to do a large scale test with wrenches of either 17" or 19" in size like you've done with the ratchet testing.

Good test but I wish you did a larger size 14,17 because 10 mm are rather weak and as you pointed out you’re going to get 50 pounds on a ten mil easy with a box end , you hardly need open end

Yup. Get the jumbos on the pull. Been wondering myself. Broke some jumbo sized Pittsburgh wrenches a few years back at the sandplant round about the 2inch size. Everyone knows that's the cheapo stuff but just saying. I've bought gear wrench up to 18mm and 3/4 and then swapped over to Dewalt to 25mm and 1inch. Wondering if I made a mistake and should go with a different brand before I get too invested. Someone had said something about double box with wratchet on one side. I like the sound of this.

You wouldn't happen to have a 1/2" keystock bar about 1 1/2" in length laying around would you? I think that's what I'm going to need in order to test larger hex sizes out for bigger wrenches.
