Ratha Saptami is a festival of God Surya Bhagavan Birth Day.It is celebrated every year on the
Day of magha suddha saptami.
This day people wake up in the morning and head bath in river or pond.Before bathing,they Put seven leafs of jilledu
and seven jujube fruits on head and take head bath.
After that God surya has a favourate of red colour,so devotees wear red colour clothes
and perform Ratha sapthami puja with red colour flowers.
paramannam is put on chikkudu leafs and offering naivedyam to god surya.
This day people chanting aditya hrudhyam,suryastakam on this radha saptami Day.
