They put saphires in the more expensive models. I own the new blue dial plain jane one in stainless steel and i think it’s a saphire colored spinell. One of my best purchases in my opinion althought there are always bigger leagyes like with cars, houses e.t.c but for the price i can’t be happier

@@wbs2819 brand new Cartier Santos costs 6.5-7.5k depends on size, then prolly adding diamonds and labour which costs the same too (6-7k) so 13-15k? trax selling for 17.5 & 25k (35&41m) but most of them sell used watches after busting down so watch would be half the price more like 3-4k for watch and diamonds 6-7k, rest is their margin

Most Cartier watches are nicer plain jane. I just bought the 2020 Santos adlc. Bussdown is a personal thing with little resale value. Just look at old iced breitlings and jacobs from early 2000s selling for 70-80% original price, If that.

At this point he gave a true eighth of game up for any prospective shoppers when he spoke about the quality of the craftsmanship pertaining to the setting of the stones and why it was so important not to ever Rush a jeweler to get a piece back so little brother I get it there are a lot of crooked dealers out in that market, but at the 5:18 mark he separated himself from them.

I have 5 Cartier watches all iced up and never did I pay anywhere close to these “integral prices” my lil homies would be ashamed of me if I let these fools take my money. All I’m saying is what quality does an SI3 diamond have for them to charge $26,000 for a watch that is only worth half and they have the price set at $54,000 but $26,000 is the sale price. You mean to tell me that this $15,000 watch is going to cost me double what it’s worth plus they destroyed the face of the watch how much is it worth then?

Thing with watch is you have to fall in love. Knowing you can't take with you to next life . Worried about getting it stolen. Scratches, finding parts. Having a grail watch on your list. Plotting and skeeming.

That's why my rich Italian friend from Long Island, leaves his expensive watches in the safe deposit Box and wears knockoffs in public. He can drink and socialize not worrying about damaging the watch. losing the watch being reckless or getting robbed. I have about 40 watches, the most expensive is a Nixon I paid $500.00 for. If my watch collection get stolen it won't devastate me financially or emotionally. Even If I could afford that Iced out Cartier, I would avoid it because it attracts the wrong attention from the wrong people. It attracts gold diggers and stick up kids and jack boys.

I prefer iced out watches.and it’s obvious the setting quality difference the lower quality is slightly unevenly set..and the depth of the diamonds isn’t consistently deep.

Completely wrong about Rolex's inflated market...AD's are selling new inventory to gray market dealers at inflated prices above MSRP and those dealers are flipping for double MSRP in some cases (gray dealers control the market and demand thus can basically set the prices). In fact most precious metal pieces that are made diamond encrusted are available at MSRP. The "Plain Jane" models are the one's selling well above MSRP.

I kind of tuned out when he tried to claimed Cartier watches became popular recently. Cartier has been one of the most desirable watch manufacturers for around 175 years, they were overwhelmingly popular watches for the rich and famous when Rolex was still a London company.
