Little info for the non italian speaking people: "Tiramisù" the name of this dessert means "lift me up" because with the generous amount of coffee, eggs, mascarpone cheese and sugar this dessert gives you a wake up boost that you can really feel. Is my favourite dessert, of course the best one is always my mother's made one. One correction: the original recipe is without cream, only eggs, mascarpone, sugar, "savoiardi" biscuits, coffee and a little of cognac/brandy or amaretto, then cover it by high quality bitter cacao powder.
@Doodle_King10 ай бұрын
Thx for the explanation 👍

No cognac or amaretto in the original dish. It's optional. :)
@plaio8010 ай бұрын
@@kornar true but at the same time not totally correct, the first time this dessert recipe was published on the italian dishes magazine of the gastronomist Giuseppe Maffioli in the 1981 the original recipe was of only 5 ingredients: eggs, mascarpone, savoiardi, caffe and dark bitter cacao powder, but at the same time Maffioli, that already knew the true potential of this dessert proposed a variation including 4 table spoon of marsala to the cream. So the variation that includes a little alcohol was published at the same time of the original recipe, and personally I think it gives the final touch to this dessert.

I'm Italian and when I was little tiramisù was my go-to birthday cake. I remember my parents would sit together in the kitchen the evening before my birthday making it, whisking everything by hand because we didn't have an electric mixer so it would take a while. We'd eat it only once a year so it was always a very special treat and hands down my absolutely favorite dessert. And since it felt so special as a kid I was convinced that tiramisù was this rare and super sophisticated delicacy, extremely difficult to prepare. Then I grew up, began cooking and baking and realized that it's literally one of the easiest foolproof desserts ever, but I still only make it very rarely so whenever I have it it's always a special occasion. Definitely still one of my favorite desserts

My name is Yoshikage Kira. I'm 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the Kame Yu department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.

Disclamer: I am an italian born in Rome and I have lived my entire life in Italy, my family is from Campania so I am not an expert for what riguards "traditional" Tiramisù. 3 little adjustement that wil make it at least a 9: 1) Don't use milk, it makes the crem too liquid and it collapses the eggwhites making it less cohesive with the rest 2) Less alcohol (personally I think it coveres the flavour) 3) Put some cream on the bowl to avoid making the savoiardi too cold and to avoid making it stik to it (causing it to crumble once you take it out of the bowl)

For the original one: don’t use any alcohol, don’t use egg whites, always remember to use fresh pasteurized yolks (salmonella stares at you every moment), when you mix the creams don’t whisk them but use a spatula for a perfect texture, and then let it sit in the fridge overnight. I know it’s hard to wait, but it’s worth every single second, trust an Italian

Yeah dude why the hell would you use alcohol that's discusting. I assume her mother did not made tiramisu with alcochol when he was younger.

@@matigamer329Even if not the original recipe, alcohol in tiramisu is used extremely often.

The alcohol isn't the problem it's more the when he used it. Put it into the coffee and you could even cook the alcohol out but the almond flavor only adds to the dish.

Tiramisù is arguably the best dessert of all time and you made a great tiramisù, the only thing is that in the original italian receipt it doesn't have any alcohol, only eggs, mascarpone, sugar, savoiardi biscuits, coffee and cocoa power
