The Ratna Bhandar located within the Lord Jagannath Temple in Odisha is scheduled to reopen on Sunday after a span of 46 years for the purpose of inventorying its collection of ornaments and other precious items. The treasury's doors were last unlocked in 1978.
Odisha's Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan has confirmed, "The decision to open the Ratna Bhandar was approved by the government. We will open it, conduct repairs, and undertake the counting of ornaments."
The Archaeological Survey of India, responsible for maintaining the 12th-century shrine, will utilize this opportunity to perform necessary repairs and maintenance.
