So glad there was an audience. It's a little sad to hear a great performance like that, and then not hear it being appreciated. Greatly enjoyed!

2:12 just love it😍 It's like a magic garden

Wow, this really moved along quite nicely. I like the original with flute, clarinet, and string quartet, but this economical alternative is still pretty awesome!

I love the whole piece, but there's something about how 9:29 shifts into a playful mood.

This is an exquisite interpretation of one of the world's most beautiful and difficult pieces! In addition, the recording is superb. Congratulations! Sue Carole DeVale, harpist, St. Petersburg, Florida

Thanks for posting. I had never heard this piece with harp and piano before, but it works very well (certainly in your performance!). Incidentally there is an excellent arrangement of the piece for piano solo by Lucien Garban.

If you liked this performance.. you should definitely check out this piano piece by one of my favorite composers :) (Franz Liszt) You of course don’t have to listen to it all but if you do.. you won’t regret it! Here it is-kzfaq.info/get/bejne/d7Khgq6ilbOamKM.html enjoy! Edit- Thai composer was a show man! So his works of music are very impressive! The first part of this piece is slow and relaxing! But if you want to get your mind blown skip to 5:06 of the video I recommend! Very fun and fast melody! :)

does anyone know where to find the sheet music for this arrangement? it's so beautiful, I have to learn it!!
I LOVE this. I am a huge Ravel fan and this Intro and Allegro is SO much better with just percussion instruments (without those screechy strings and woodwinds). Kudos!!

Beautiful! Is it original for harp and piano?
@marjanpeternel4 жыл бұрын
No, it is originally for harp and a chamber group - string quartet, flute and clarinet. But Ravel himself made an arrangement for two pianos where the first piano plays the harp part and the second one plays the rest. So if you combine the two versions you get this 🙂

@@marjanpeternel where did you purchase this version from? :)
@marjanpeternel2 жыл бұрын
@@dreamingbusan2481 It is the 2 piano version I mentioned above. I changed it a little to be less dense so it was easier to play with harp. You can get it on the Imslp.org site.

If you do this again, you should, I suggest, look more into the airy and more light and expressive French style that this piece is in. You play it entirely too straightforwardly (both of you) and without the almost ballet-like nature the piece requires. It is indeed essentially a harp concerto which requires great technical mastery, but there is also quite a bit of freedom in the piece that needs to come through. Great job, though.

great job! i think the harpist needs to show a little emotion though.

TheIzharp Truthfully yes. But she tends to look that way in most videos. You can also find her in a video about extended techniques for the harp. Same expression.
