Generally if the watch is running fine, there is no reason to mess with it. For repairs we typically see watches that are running slow due to wear and tear, and banging around. The hair spring gets bent, tangled, or magnetized which makes the watch run too fast most of the time. The water resistance comes from good rubber gaskets that are greased with silicone and seated correctly, these will last a long time, and are checked and re greased when watches come in for service, if there is a problem with the gasket it gets replaced.

I am considering a project in 42mm again, but the 39mm is still very popular and is selling well. 39mm is also not a small watch.

@@ravenwatches , there is a cult of 33mm to like 38.9mm purists that until every other watch is that size they wont be happy nor pleased. I'm just here representing the old school guys who still like watches that arent in that exacting measurement regime..

@@idahoman325 yes, I don't care what the numbers say either, each watch wears differently, and due to my wrist size I prefer 39mm to 44mm, because that is what fits me best. I have a friend who is 6'4" and has an 8 inch wrist, and the 40mm Airfield looks great on him, when I see it on him, it does not look small.

@@ravenwatches , I only have a 7.5" wrist which somehow is EXACTLY in the middle of every pre made strap hole wise. My normal day to day watches are Tudor pelagos & blackbays, along with a few ravens which I enjoy just the same. I'm not sure If it's nostalgia guys kicked in or if a bunch of Rolex purists put some how put a voodoo trance on the general watch buying populations. I agree the sizes actually dont matter nearly as much as how the watch wears on the person. Have a friend who has 9 inch wrists basically tree limbs lol who I told him the Rolex dssd would be the perfect diver for him hands down. He purchased the watch on the recommendation. It remains his favorite watch to this day. Measurements wise the L2L I find to be way more relatively important to how watches will wear on others.
