From the HorseTV Global Archives we venture back to a visit to Ravenhawk Gypsy Drum Horses. The "Drum horses" were a larger stout version of the Gypsy Vanner and were named as such for carrying both a rider and the heavy ceremonial drums used in parades and processions. Riders guided the horse's reins with their feet, while their hands were used to play the drums.
