I think the argument you are presenting is very insidious. You are saying that we should rejoice as long as the Gospel is being proclaimed and distributed without giving any consideration to how it is being distributed. In other words, even if the gospel is being proclaimed through fear, lies and violence, we should rejoice. I think that the oldest and most authentic writings about Jesus and what He taught come from the gospels that can be found in the Bible. To me, it seems pretty clear that the religious elite of Jesus's time had a huge problem with Him because of the huge claims He was making. By calling himself "son of man" Jesus had linked himself to the divine. If some one came up to you today and told you they were God, I'd imagine you would have a hard time with differentiating if that is true or if the person is just delusional. I can only think that if a statistical analysis was done the chances of someone claiming to be God having some sort of psych disorder is more likely. The gospel accounts tell us Jesus made such claims but also backed them up by his miracles. But He also taught that He is the truth, the way and the light, in the same account that presents a monotheistic view of God. I would just suggest, as someone familiar with Hindu thought and also the Christian perspective that you do your research before you decide on Jesus as your God within the context of Hinduism since the Jesus portrayed in the gospel accounts contradicts core Hindu philosophy of dharma, karma and reincarnation and presents a drastically different way of salvation. So I would just ask you, what are your thoughts as to worshiping Jesus as a Hindu? Please know I do not mean to belittle you, I just think this is very interesting and I'd like to know your thoughts.
