This man could have chosen to leave when she asked him to . If she had a knife,he could have walked outside and called the police to retrieve his belongings from her place..he escalated the already toxic situation.. things didn't work out it happens sometimes.he could have moved on .. got counseling.. eventually started dating again with lessons learned... They didn't have children.they weren't even married.. they also are mature ages. Break ups can be hard but its not as hard as doing hard time ...

Laws definitely need to change with domestic violence when it comes to females as well as males. The law tends to side most with the female, and there are just as many abusive females as males. No one talks about it, turns a blinds eye to it, and the male victims don't come forward because, more than likely, most people won't believe them. However in the case, this guy has to pay for his crime. My condolences to the family.

Family I wrote a comment before the sentencing, and PLEASE make sure you all go to every hearing, write letters to the parole board, get to know the warden and whomever else to be able to notify you all with whatever changes that may come about, because he will try to get out before the little 24 years, make sure every name on the contact list all the information is kept updated, ask them to send him to a prison far away so it will be harder for his folks to visit and hopefully they are poor so they won't be able to put nothing on his books to call and buy from the commissary, write the attorney general, the governor, state legislators and be as detailed as you can so it will help to keep him behind bars longer. Do everything you possible can to make sure when he come out of prison it will be in a body bad, period. Let the court officials know that you all have to go to a cemetery while they get to visit him. This man took a woman’s life he need to have his taken away….serve the rest of his life in prison. Her children should get a petition going and signed when he comes up for parole to keep his ass there. RIP gorgeous My heart❤ aches for this family

I can't stand it when defense attorneys' pamper, smile, pat on the shoulder or back etc. at the murderers/rapist etc. when they are charged and or convicted of a heinous crime... defense attorneys, knowing when defendant is guilty and bend over backwards to get them off...sickening...

Because no matter how you feel it’s his or her job to defend the client thats his job wether he knows he is guilty or not, defense lawyers and prosecutors, period , hopefully the Jury gets it right!

Her brother is having a hard time not looking at his sister's killer. I was kinda nervous for him because the judge was saying for him to address his thoughts to him and I didn't want him to be admonished. But he was in a lot of pain

His whole demeanor and look just screams no remorse. No wonder his attorney didnt want him to speak.

This monster gonna face 'prison justice', soon. And that will become like a never ending ride with a rollercoaster.
@kse3775 ай бұрын
Doubtful. He's no different than the other abusers and murderers also in prison who have no issues.

It might appear doubtful. They are free to kill each other while incarcerated....Society is protected as long as this monsters are put behind bars,@@kse377

You may think that, but I say to you that it will be God that has the final say on this man's destiny. This man's day of judgment will come and he will surely will stand........before his maker, GOD...........Judge, Jury and Executioner

Amanda’s brother was so grief-stricken and the judge was very compassionate about that. A soft moment in an otherwise stressful and sad hearing.

Man, it pissed me off when the brother was speaking, and the cop looked at his watch like he was taking to long. Then when the daughter came up to speak, the female officer with glasses held her arm out for an unnecessary amount of time guiding her where to go, as if the young lady was gonna do something crazy. Maybe it's just me, but the cops in the court room all seemed to have attitudes.

Very very sad. I watched the live sentencing and was very hurt and disappointed. Basically this man was sentenced to 24 years in prison. He may even served less than that. This is a big slap in the face to this beautiful woman's family. He deserves the death penalty for what he done and the lifelong pain to her family. All he had to do was leave when going to the car. That is the main thing because the rest would have never happened. She was a beautiful woman with lots going for herself. How and why she even gave this monster the time of the day is a mystery me.

Prayers for all Amanda and all her loved ones. Prayers her killer may finally see what he actually did and have remorse the rest of his life. He deserves no leniency. One day he will have to answer to the One who WILL make this just. 💔💔💔💀

Sad. Imagine escaping death by accidents or crossfire out in the world daily, just to be killed in the safety and comfort of your home.

WOW! 241/2 years w/ the possibility of parole? A slap on the wrist. Pitiful how the murderer didn’t value her life but the court doesn’t either. Maybe if he does the full 24 and 1/2 years in prison, no he deserves to have what he did to her done to him double fold. Her pain, fear and anxiety, if only his sick twisted mind could even perceive the level of what she felt, I would be satisfied. But he’s a sick fu-k empathy is not in him.

I think the Judges and the Attorneys should be held accountable for their decisions on behalf of their convicts they let go. And are able to repeat their crimes.
