Sorry I have one more question. When you do first layer of paint, is it just black paint, or is it a primer? Im totally new to this and don’t know anything about painting. This video has inspired me to start making some clay jewelry.

The first layer is just black acrylic colour, but diluted more with water. The clay jewellery when baked would become solid and so first layer would be soaked into that, after we can add layers of colours and they would come out brighter.

Yes, I do fire my work but I don't have a kiln. I bake them at home, I have uploaded a full video on how we can bake them.

Yes, it is durable. Just a little care needed like it should fall from a height and should be kept seperate from your other jewellery to avoid scratching. Else it would last you life long.

Very creative! You should retain some terracotta colour n use enamel instead of fabric to get more classy look

As per my research, enamel might not suit to everyone and can be toxic sometimes, while Acrylics are totally non toxic colours, but still I would surely try enamel of some of my pieces. Thank you 😊

Yes, I baked it after its completely dried. I took my jewellery pieces to potters nearby and ask them to bake it for me.

Jasper and agate are precious stone and that too finding them in same size is little tough. This mint green beads are also handmade from clay. So they all are in same size. But yes, you can use stone beads also.

This is to be baked. Baking is compulsory in Terracotta.

Do you bake it or is it air dry clay? How to you protect it from water? I wish to make something similar as natural jewellery not plastic as polymer clay. We can get clay as baking clay or air dry clay here.. How do you harden yours? Sorry if i missed it in video.

Yes, I do bake it. The baking video will be coming in 2 days. Once it's baked, coloured and varnished, it would safe in water also. Please see all of my videos to know everything in detail. It's in Hindi, I have a channel in English also. So you have to wait for video in English.

Yes, but it gives good quote, the smell is not bad and goes immediately after its dried.

You can use any Acrylic colour varnish. I use Little Birdie Varnish too on my paintings and Jewellery Pieces.

They are totally waterproof, because it's baked into certain degree temperature
