Well since noone replied... I will give you a general idea of what you should buy if you are really interested in learning+earning from editing (I am kinda like tharun himself, who learned editing by trial and error)... Firstly, If you are someone who does/will do most of your work inside your home... And do not need to take your editing device with you everywhere... Buy a Desktop, not a Laptop, "A DESKTOP". To Elaborate more: If you want to work remotely, buy a desktop... But, If you think that you need to go to your client's home, or want to edit in your college or something... Then Laptop is better than Desktop. In terms of price v/s specs... Desktop is always better. Now that you have decided on laptop or desktop... Let's see what specs you should look for... If I have to say what is a good price to have a smooth editing experience... I would say "80k Rs." But if you just want to get started somehow... 40-50k PCs work as well... But you will soon start to feel you need more specs for better quality work. Assuming that you seriously want to make a career out of it... Here are the bare minimum specs you should look for: 1) 16 GB RAM (8 GB RAM is ok to get started with... But in 2024, I really recommend to buy at least a 16 GB RAM) 2) at least an 6/8 core CPU of i5/r5 with as much lastest Generation model you can find 3) an RTX 3060 (RTX 2060 is good as well, and for Laptops, RTX 3050 works as well... Considering most people can't afford to go past 80k Rs) 4) 1 TB SSD Storage (512 GB SSD Storage works too... But it can get full pretty quickly depending on what kind of video you are editing)(in case case, 1 TB SSD is a safe choice, but for laptops... I doubt you can find a 1 TB SSD, so go for a 512 GB model but make sure that you can change its storage and ram by yourself)(Do not buy laptops which you can't change storage and ram) TLDR: If you don't have an extremely tight budget, go for a 60-80k Laptop/Desktop. Just search for "PC build under 80k" or "Best laptops under 80k" and you will have something good to start your editing career. Ask for any doubts, will reply if I see it. I personally edit on a 40-45k desktop... It's really painful to edit, but I am on a really tight budget, and that's all I can afford for now.

i think video editors shoud create orignal content of there own , not rely on a job , firstly you are in a freelancing zone and upon that you will be in a non trustworth startup which wont provide security besides taking risk and wasting time in a short period of job providing you security , do try and error at a consistent basis by creating a youtube channel and tell stories , write scripts , documentries , make a charecter that has a high returns rathere than being in a comfort zone and a fake secure job videoediting is in the end a labourous job , editors are treated as labours "majdur" do you like that you pasting motivational couts all around you that means you need an external source for motivation .... then why in the first place do freelancing .... dont be a freelancer be A producer........ stop wasting time in jobs
