Funny how all 3 dogs went for the cooked fish first but after finishing that ate the raw fish as well! It was also fascinating watching the cats as they tend to be pickier eaters! Bat was the funniest! So cute how he sniffed both kinds of fish carefully before deciding to eat the cooked fish first! And then halfway through eating that he decided to try the raw fish!

maybe they are more accustomed to cooked meals over the raw. just an idea. (and in general dogs and humans have long common path of eating cooked foods together while "domesticating" each others).

@@cubertmiso cooked meats smell much better. raw has very little smell unless it's rotten. animals are attracted to food by scent. my dog goes crazy for rotting raw meat and is usually really picky. she loves raw bone marrow too.

Olive is so polite when eating 😁 chews her food propperly 😍 I think that they all emjoyed both and wanted more 😉 I am guessing that they went for the cooked fish first because of the stronger smell 😊

I would say cooked fish was the first preference however they enjoyed eating both, cooked and raw. That’s the way they did it 😋😃

I would have to agree with you. Cooked meat would smell more enticing. Cooked meat is easier to digest and they would absorb more nutrients. Could you imagine walking out into a forest and seeing a bear cooking his supper over a fire. They will take a steak from a BQ.

I used to go fishing with my dogs. They would sit patiently for me to throw them live fish. They came home with a full bellies and I went to bed hungry.

I am surprised that none of the huskies did any smelling of the fish first like Bat did. Yuki wasn't really wanting to wait at first either. I guess cooked Red fish has a stronger smell than Salmon. Good test.

That was good, I just knew from the moment she walked in the room, Yuki was going to eat everything, she couldn't wait to get started. Bat made a pretty good job of eating everything in sight as well, I suspect those two had been talking off camera lol. Then there is Monty on cleaning duty, that was cute. Loved this one because we got a chance to see everyone have their moment in front of the camera.

Cooked fish is easier to eat because it is kind of predigested. But what happens if you change the sides of raw and cooked? May be they have a prefered side?

I have an idea and im curius to see it..Take a fluffy fake animal, dog and kitten. Call each huskie/kitty and pet the fake one, in front of the real puppy/kitty!! If its possible...react as your real friend is not here..Then go away and leave both alone for a while..Of course in the end, every fluffy and lovely friend wins treats and many kisses!
