@@RoosayCapdet When you’re going over speedbumps or inching forward slowly, do you stay on the clutch or how does that work? I know if the rpms get too low, then the car stalls.
@RoosayCapdet2 жыл бұрын
So going over speed bumps is a little bit tricky especially if you’re just starting to learn manual. So what I usually do is I just push in the clutch, inch towards the speed numb slowly, throw the car into first gear while still holding the clutch in. And when you’re going over it just balance the clutch and gas as if you’re moving from a dead stop. It’s a little hard to explain through text but I would just recommend going into a empty parking lot. And just practice your 1st gear. Cause that is the hardest part of driving manual. Once you got that down everything else comes naturally!

Very nice man! And I actually threw on the exhaust before I could even test drive the car 😂 so I didn’t have the car for 5min and already had the exhaust on it. And nice man! I’m a big fan of the Type R also. I haven’t done any engine mods yet just because I’m having fun with the car stock. But hopefully Ill start doing some power mods. I just need to save up for the mods and the tune so I’m not constantly having to re tune the car every time I add a part to it.
@Rncfbnx3 жыл бұрын
@@RoosayCapdet having an aftermarket exhaust without even driving it as badass. That’s how you know you know what you want and get it done. Yes I agree with you about getting a part then installing it. If I do my set up which is mainly bolt ons and a tune. I would’ve spent 5k in parts + labor. Idk how much the STI tomei exhaust cost but I had a Black Friday deal on mine which cut the price by a bit. But all in all, the intake and exhaust can run fine on the type r. Adding the downpipe and turbo inlet pipe will require the tune and my getting a flash pro. Now it’s just saving money and waiting for the right time. Good luck on your build bro! Little tip. Stop before it gets too late. I can tell you enjoy and love your car, but end of the day give yourself a limit on how much you want to spend and have an end goal for your car. If you don’t, you’ll aimlessly keep spending. Ultimately, ours cars are both very nice out of the lot stock. Now it’s up to us to put our character into the car. I have to say I’m glad I planned it all out and had most of the money together. I’m 1/2 way into my finished building. Hope you have success !

@@Rncfbnx yeah I have a vision of what how I want the car to be. And tbh I have the money for most of the power mods. I just would rather not spend all that money at once haha. And then after that I’ll focus on power mods! I just wanna make the car look clean and then I’ll start doing power mods and go from there. But I would like this car to be in SEMA one day. @@RoosayCapdet nice bro best of luck, how would you describe this car differently than other sport car? My friend told me once you drive a subie you never go back to other cars..
@RoosayCapdet3 жыл бұрын
@@burhanuddin7782 tbh I’ve driven a G35 coupe, IS350, G37, 2017 WRX, and a 440i. And tbh the 440i was defiantly a fun and nice car to drive. The only problem was it wasn’t stick otherwise it would defiantly be a good competitor! But after driving my STI for almost 4months I don’t think I would buy any other car. It’s just so perfected that it’s insane! Since Subaru has been making these cars for so many years now. They’ve been able to perfect almost everything. The throttle response, the handling, the transmission, and now the 2019+ models have a even better EJ engine that’s supposedly rated up too 500hp. I’m not sure if it’s wheel or crank but that’s still crazy! But none the less I love my STI. But I don’t doubt there are other cars out there that are better. I just haven’t driven them yet. But one day I will!

the 1-2 in this car is brutal for me, is there any way you shift to combat that?
@RoosayCapdet3 жыл бұрын
Brutal as in its just hard to get it without jerking you back?? And if thats the case what ive noticed in this car is you kind of have to be fast and slow at the same time. The rpms drop fairly quickly in this car cause theres not much rev hang. But you also wanna let go of the clutch smoothly because its very sensitive where the clutch grabs from 1st-2nd gear. Worse comes to worse just shift to 2nd fairly quick but take your foot off the clutch slowly. Hope that helps haha im terrible at explaining things
@Fireworknano3 жыл бұрын
@@RoosayCapdet That really helps because I've just been granny shifting from 1st to 2nd but people tail pretty hard when I do that so it's kinda annoying but yeah I'll try that out. Might just be a wrx issue they may have mitigated with the sti. Nice car btw, thank you!

I really want to buy a wrx maybe even sti, but i rarely see people with them here, do they suck mechanical wise?
@RoosayCapdet3 жыл бұрын
Hmmm I know a lot of Subarus have a bad reputation. And it’s not because of the car but how people treat the car. A lot of people will just add power mods without getting a proper tune and blow up the engine. But if you’re just leaving it stock then you shouldn’t have any problems with the car at all. Now the new WRX with the FA20 motor are fairly reliable if you keep them stock. Once you start doing power mods to it then it starts to become a little less reliable. The STI on the other hand is a different story. The 2019+ STI’s have the EJ25RA motor which is the “new” version and the last version of that motor. It’s also the most reliable version because the internals of the engine are really good and won’t fail on you as easy as the older models. So the moral of the story is. Subarus are reliable cars it just depends how you treat them.

Hey brother! And to answer your question I do have a warranty on my STI and unless the problem that was caused is due to the catback (which I highly doubt it would be a catback) then they can’t void it! I’ve had my car serviced and they knew it had a tomei on there but they didn’t tell me anything
