Thank you for this "to the point" tutorial. I am now using Affinity 2 for the ipad and needed to refresh my skills. Oddly, enough, I moved away from photography for a minute to pursue other hobbies. I am back to pursuing photography and needed this. Thanks again.

Another very useful and informative video. The remark re sharpening also answered a question for me relative to using the tools in the photo persona and then using the high pass filter in the develop persona. What at some stage would be really useful (for me at least) is a video going over each of the tools and menu items. What I found with photoshop was I became very systematic with my approach and often a video pointing out a tool that I’d never considered before made a lot of sense to start looking at in more detail. Big task though but at least the feedback means I’m interested in your teaching. Cheers.

Thanks for the comment, Steve. I hope to, over time, cover most of the functionality in the iPad version. I’ll probably do it in the context of workflow while processing images rather than going tool by tool. Not sure yet but I appreciate the comment and will keep it in mind. Cheers.

Is it a compressed RAW image or not? I want to buy a new iPad Pro 11 for photo editing, but I can't find the information about support of compressed RAW files for Fuji cameras, such as X-Pro2.

Affinity Photo supports both compressed and uncompressed RAW Fuji files.

It does it in a pretty rudimentary way so I wouldn’t have high expectations. Having said that, you can make your own manual adjustments if needed. Personally, I’ve only occasionally needed to make corrections.

I must retract my answer about compressed files. I use uncompressed myself. Apparently there is a limitation in the IOS itself, not with Affinity. This is from one of the Affinity techs: the Apple Core Image engine built into iOS only supports the uncompressed RAW files from the FujiFilm X-T3.

@@StevenDempseyArtist OK, it was my question. I have heard, that the new version of Lightroom can edit compressed fuji RAW, but I'm not sure. I want to avoid a subscription plan of Adobe. I'm a student, which can shut photos and edit it on the holidays only. Does it make sense to convert fuji compressed raw files with iridient X-transformer with applying all lens corrections to the image, and after that processed .dng image on the ipad with software, such as Affinity photo. Can you give me advice as a expert user of iPad? Will it work?

I don't understand why in Affinitty workspaces are called PERSONA! As a Spanish speaker, it is a denomination that sounds bad and lacks all sense. person in Spanish is a human being and has nothing to do with a work space, besides, in the English language its pronunciation sounds very strange!
