I live in Greenville SC, and just got back from a trip from Savannah. If anything, I'd say the heat feels worse here than it does there; and it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the nearby ocean breeze.

They were forced to migrate out of severe Jim Crow environments with lack of opportunity to the rust belt or to the northeast for jobs etc. They didn’t really want to, now we’re witnessing a reverse exodus, warmer weather, jobs, affordability in the southeast particularly Carolina’s, GA and Florida.

Outside of politics I’m not joking but I think another reason is the rise of air conditioning in buildings and cars. More people are willing to deal with the heat now since basically every building and car has good AC which makes it a lot more manageable. Just a thought I’ve had

Nothing happened. I just told somebody else. The cat ran back to the same side of the street out of view of the camera. If I would have hit the cat it would have been a mistake and I wouldn't put it on video anyway. I like cats, use to have one as a kid.
