Be honest do you think the reverse wayfarer are worth it?

I'm here from 10 months into the future to tell you that, NO, they are not worth it. Reverse Ray-Ban *anything* is a useless design cue and is guaranteed to cause even the shortest of eyelashes to brush the back of the lenses with every blink. Plus, they let in more light from the sides of the frames. Also, I believe that they are Chinese, rather than made in Italy like Wayfarer RB2140. If you like Ray-Ban style but don't like Wayfarer's pantoscopic tilt, then opt for Mr. Burbank. They're hip and, like the RB2140, are also made in Italy.

Late 70'-early 80's punk new wave trend was to wear sweaters and sweat pants inside out. Then cut the sleeves, collars and pant legs out. Think "Madonna" style.

Wayfarers were *designed* in 1952 but not available until 1956. Only Belushi wore Wayfarers in the original Blues Brothers Movie. They were translucent tort with G15 green lenses. It is completely unknown what Akroyd was wearing, and zero of the sunglasses forums I've looked at could figure them out, either. But they are too rectangular to be Wayfarers and have different accents on the front frames. That "forward angle tilt" is called a pantoscopic tilt. It has changed on Wayfarers a little through the years. The advantage is that when you're looking down through the lenses, the frames don't block your view. Reverse Ray-Ban *anything* is a useless design cue and is guaranteed to cause even the shortest of eyelashes to brush the back of the lenses with every blink. Plus, they let in more light from the sides of the frames. Useless. See? I can be an "expert," too. If you like Ray-Ban style but don't like Wayfarer's pantoscopic tilt, then opt for Mr. Burbank. They're hip and, like the RB2140, are also made in Italy, unlike Ray-Ban's green weenie "bio based" nonsense, all of which are Chinese.

Hi there! The Reverse collection is definitely a luxury line for RayBan collectors looking for something unique that will no doubt turn heads. To your point, the concave shape does prevent the frames from resting on the cheeks for some wearers, which is a benefit for those struggling to find an oversized frame shape.
