Well, we should at least know even if all his claims are wrong, something like the Singularity is definitely in the cards by about that time. It's undeniable that the growth of information technology is exponential. I'd say give Kurzweil until 2020 and you should be able to know if he was really true. Aubrey de Grey, I'd give that guy until maybe 2025, because we have to wait until the nanomedicine arrives.

our only enemy is ourselves. I hope to christ we allow ourselves to get to this sort of point in human understanding before we burn ourselves to a crisp.
