Me and my dad used to listen to this song together when I was little. When Sawyer sang it on the voice tonight, I looked it up and here I am. Brings back many memories. This is an amazing song.

This man totally change when he sings. His voice is rough yet soft. His voice sounds kinda aggressive when he sings yet he is so humble and down to earth kinda guy. Love your songs Ray. Your lyrics are really meaningful.

This is an unreleased song by Ray and he gave it to Sawyer Fredericks to perform as his original single in The Voice. How cool is that?! Ray gifted this song to Sawyer. Wow!

That's incorrect. Ray recorded the song in 2003. He didn't give the song to him.

Lots of people think he says "to LEAVE you, I've got to close my eyes." He says, "to BELIEVE in you, I got to close my eyes." --- also makes more sense in context of the song.

Stefan Grainger Studio Album, unreleased to the public; you'll have to do lots of digging to find all of Ray's greats but trust me it's worth it. Next up for you should be "Water from the Well" from another studio: Green.

His last album wasn't in 2008. Check Ray LaMontagne and the Pariah Dogs. He came out with an album with them in 2010. He also released an album in 2014.
