He’s actually done well in picking his work since ELR has ended. He has said that he made and is still making so much money from ELR that he works when he wants and that he loves being at home. He’s also said that he’s not going to do anything that he just doesn’t absolutely love and believe in, no matter the public opinion of it. He was great on “Parenthood”. “Men of a Certain Age” should’ve been a Showtime, HBO, or Netflix show instead of TNT, because it had so much potential but was limited by the vehicle in which it arrived. He’s got a new stand up special and also a new movie on Netflix. The stand up is great. The movie looks very good, but I want to be able to dedicate my entire attention to it, so it’ll be Saturday before I can watch it. He said he got literally hundreds of offers after ELR’s finale to do another sitcom, but he wanted to venture out and try his hand at more dramatic, deeper roles.

I am part black and have struggled with racial identity myself so I think I would know something about this kind of subject.
