Ray Stevenson has died. He was 58. ET's Ash Crossan spoke to the actor, known for his roles 'Punisher: War Zone,' 'Thor' and last year's Indian epic, 'RRR,' at Star Wars Celebration Europe in April. In his final ET interview, Stevenson shared his excitement for playing a villain, Baylan Skoll, in the live-action Disney+ series, 'Ahsoka,' which marked his second 'Star Wars' role after playing Gar Saxon on 'Star Wars: Rebels.' No additional information about Steven's cause of death has been reported at this time.

I had the pleasure of meeting him and his son, shortly after I became a father. He shared some great advice with me that has stayed with me ever since. He was a great guy and loving father. My heart breaks for his family, and he will be forever missed

He's one of my favorite actors. I like him mostly for his role as Titus Pullo in the HBO series "Rome." He died much too young.

Loved him as the dangerously charming Titus Pulo in "Rome." I had no idea that he was such a joyful, exuberant and above all, total teddy bear of a guy in real life. So sad to hear of his passing.

The way he talked of his entry onto the stage and how the fans deserve what they can give had me choked up. He was just so humble, kind, and talented. He had been my favorite actor since seeing him in Rome years and years ago. Since then I had looked to watch him in anything at all and he never disappoints. Gonna miss the hell outta this guy, Gone way too soon like so many others out there. Rest in peace and joy you crazy fun bastard you.

What a great guy.... my heart breaks after having watched Ahsoka and realizing how truly wonderful of an actor he is as well as a human. I never knew about his other roles but after seeing him, I'm going to have to add some things to my list.

Watch King Arthur.He plays my favorite character in it besides Mads Mikkelsen. He plays Dagonet. Oh heck,all of the main actors are great in it. Here is a partial list of his co-stars in the movie: Ioan Griffudd Ray Winstone Mads Mikkelsen Clive Owen Joel Edgerton Hugh Dancy Stellan Skarsgard Til Schweiger And other well known actors are in the cast.

What a sad loss. My condolences to his family. He was a great actor. I really enjoyed him in Rome and King Arthur. Wow. I just a bit shocked he is dead at such a young age. And I didn't recognize him as the actor who played Titus Polo. He looks so different with hair and a beard. Such a nice humble man too. Rest in peace man. Seeing this 4 months since he passed. Ray appeared in Transporter Refueled as Frank Martin Sr., the transporter's dad. In a movie that isn't perhaps as top drawer as Statham's three, Ray Stevenson is the embodiment of charm & silver fox sexiness. Charismatic actor - Really sad loss. RIP Ray.

Well honestly from the Italian articles they describe pneumonia symptoms but also they had to take him to hospital. They were On Set for a movie shooting and sometime between May 16-21 is when the event was ongoing 🤷‍♂️ Other commenters have described that Altitude sickness could also be the problem, heart attack 😢

I watched him on RRR not long ago and then I just started watching Ahsoka and thought, this guy is awesome. Didn’t know the actor so decided to Google 5 mins ago and bloody saw that he died in May! WTF. This guy is awesome and to find out he’s passed away is just devastating. Rest in paradise Ray

Just started watching Das Boot S3 and was thrilled to see Ray in it. Only two days later looking him up on the net read he had died and totally shocked. Great actor and gent and was brilliant in anything he was in.

His greatest acting part in my humble opinion was perhaps one of his smaller rolls. That of Dagonet from King Arthur. The Clive Owen led action epic from a few years ago. A memorable character and well worth the time movie experience. A colossal loss to the industry and at so young an age. Very sad indeed. Condolences to his family and friends.

Really sad to hear he passed away. Coincidence or not the last two shows I saw have him in it. Saw Ahsoka and his role is awesome. He did an amazing job as Baylan Skoll. Then decided to see the 3rd season of one of my favorite series, Das Boot. And here he is again... And again doing an awesome job with such a contained, subtle character but with a lot of depth. RIP Ray Stevenson.
