Because that’s how most older siblings speak to and treat their younger ones especially if they see that someone else has harmed them! Rule normally is “you can mess around and hurt each other. Anyone else hurts or try’s to harm one of you, then they’re fxxked!” Faye’s his younger sister he’s just heard her begging Ray “to stop, let go” of her and then not only did he see her clothing ripped he watched the guy (who as far as he knows from what he’s heard and seen has just sexually assaulted his little sister!) doing up his pants!

He did show concern for her when they got back to the flat. In this video he’s actually showing his concern by telling her too move as far away from her attacker! She was traumatized and wasn’t listening to her brother the first time he asked her too move so he told her in a forceful way the second time so it registered in her head! Ray had just tried too r*p* her a second time (and despite what you and many others think they’ve confirmed that the first time where it seemed like she agreed it was actually r*p* through blackmail and coercion! They wrote a full article that was posted online explaining why it was non consensual and also why the official spoilers they released stated “Gary walks in to the bistro while Ray has locked himself and Faye in his office and try’s to r*p* Faye for a second time during the blackout caused by Abi! What will Gary do to Ray when he sees the state of his little sister?”) Unless you’ve been in that situation (I have multiple times during childhood and at the hands of my first husband!) then you don’t know how it feels or what your brain does in that situation, it shuts down because of the trauma and all you can hear is white noise until someone or something snaps you out of it like yelling at you or a loud noise brings you back into the real world. Faye doesn’t realize that the first time was r*p* yet that’s why she’s refusing to go to the police, but she does eventually realize it was after she speaks to someone (they’ve not revealed who it is she talks too about what happened! I think it might either be Carla, Sally, Abi or Craig himself!) and she eventually reports him too the police.
