Kelly, I have only spoken with you via email once or twice but have been following Ray’s story ever since. I am so very sorry for your family. I think if you every day and pray for you all. Dearest Kelly, I along with everyone else can not express how sorry we are at Ray’s passing. Watching you hang on with grace and strength for him and knowing he did the same for you. I know we have all been dreading the day this video came out. Though losing your wonderful son is the worst thing ever at least he is now out of pain. Oh Kelly, I saw this on my way home from work. I work in a hospital. I couldn't look more because I knew, my eyes watered and now in the privacy of my home, I'm crying buckets after watching this beautiful tribute to your amazing son, simply beautiful. I feel like I know Ray even though I never met him and that's why I'm crying for his terrible loss. His life was simply beautiful, he packed so much quality into his short life. He gave to his community by being a public servant, he was loving and devoted son, brother and he loved animals. What a beautiful soul. I don't know how to comfort you Kelly or your beautiful girls, my words are too small for your enormous pain. Please accept my sincere condolences, I'm just crying too much and I work in the medical field and I see this alot and I still cry but I also pray alot. That is what my profession and my parents taught me, the gift of prayers and so I'm praying very hard for you Kelly, may our dear God evelope you and your daughters in his embrace thru your tears, heartbreak and devastation. Dear Kelly, I just saw your post about Ray. I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I am for your loss! I lost my husband to cancer in 2020. He was diagnosed with it in December of 2019 and passed away February 2020. The pain of losing him was terrible. I can’t imagine losing a child and at such a young age. My heart hurts for you! Just watching your past updates showed how strong of a person you are and how supportive you have been for your family as well as Ray! Just know that you are loved and god bless you and your family! Kelly I know there are no words to comfort you now. I cannot imagine the pain a mother feels at the loss of their child. I lost my husband of 43 years in September and have been on my own grief journey. I will pass along to you the best advice I received , that is simply let yourself feel your emotions no matter what they are. Acknowledge them , feel them and you will begin your own grief journey as only you can. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. This was a beautiful tribute to Ray he would be proud.

Kelly, I am so so sorry Your baby is no longer here on earth. I’ve been out of touch since Jan 5, and had no idea until this morning. What a beautiful tribute to Ray’s life. He was truly loved by many but none more than you, his sisters, his doggos, and family. Kelly, as a GoldStar mom who lost my son in Iraq, I can not express how devastating it is to loss your son. I am sending prayers for you & your family!!
