I love the way they vibe off each other. The joy that comes with being curious and open, and then finding something that lights up your synapses is something that I wish was more prevalent, and that more people experienced.

Interesting though to get an idea of how clever the notation of a piece can be adapted to the specialty of your instruments by the playing one, tricky and long way of practicing to do that with confidence. Really interesting to see repertoire exchange discussion, and altering of the octaves. Jean Pierre Rampal approached Khachaturian to write a flute concerto, he responded "lol just arrange my violin concerto" and encouraged Rampal. He did the arrangement and played it on the lower register. My teacher later arranged it one octave higher because the flute's lower registers are so hard to project in front of an orchestra (I assume, I never asked..). P.S: She isn't doing it without spitting everywhere, she's quite literally spitting into the flute at times! Controlled spitting is how you play this wonderful tube :)

Every time I watch you and any other violin subjected videos I cry. Because I went to my first class when I was 8 years old but 5 years later I got that I didn't learn anythings. Then I went to the only "classical violin class" in my town and I started violin from zero for few month then I realize he don't know actually nothing then after like forever a good teacher came to our town so i went to him and start again from 0 after freaking 6 years and I step up realy hood And now he has gonne and there is any real classical music teacher in my town and I don't have nice situation for going to another town so I am not good about it😢 Sorry for my long message. I should have said that❤

저처럼 잘 모르는 사람 입장에서 들었을 때는 현악기와 관악기의 차이만 어렴풋이 느껴지네요. 현악기는 sharp 한 반면에 관악기는 round 하게 들려요. 개인적으로 PAGANINI 곡은 Violin 이 더 잘 표현하는 것 같습니다.

I still think neither is devillish, but these were some nicely polished horns, Ray. - Some goats are definitely envying you now! 😉 Flute has a totally different attack than violin and does sound heavenly most of the time. But I prefer violin's versatility - it can sound heavenly too, if one knows how - and intends - to make it sound like that. 😄 As always, videos with you two are a pleasure to watch. 💞

You should do this type of video with Chris Thile - virtuoso mandolinist. In the “classical” sector he plays Baroque (Bach) and has translated the works for mandolin! (Tuned the same but obviously played much much differently) that would be SO cool. He’s not a KZfaqr but he does love to collaborate with any and every artist and I mean that. Quirky & virtuosic! Would be a fun video.

Hey Ray! You should look up Warren Ellis. He is an Australian violinist who plays in Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and in Dirty Three. I would like to see your opinion on his style of playing the violin.

You're both great musicians who have mastered your respective instrument. But I think the piece is more difficult for the flute 'coz it was not composed by Paganini for that instrument. But I was waiting for you guys to play the entire piece. Anyway, I enjoyed this video so much.

I think that Jasmine is using her flute with the diamond in the end to play today. I am always partial to the violin and especiallywhen Ray is playing, but I love listening to any music with any instrument. This takes me back to high school band when we would have dueling instruments especially when we had days that everyone competing for best in their show for competing state finals and scholarships.
