So happy you love the album! You should absolutely check out her Tiny Desk concert. You really get to see how she and her band play so well together and how she experiments with live versions of the songs. She is truly a force to be reckoned with!

Quite literally one of my favorite albums EVER! I have been anticipating since I discovered her in 2016, and knowing how good she was before this, she still exceeded all expectations! She deserves all the awards, all the success!! Thanks for reacting! 🫶🏾

watch her live cuz she explains every song’s meaning. Her songs definitely need more than first-read self-interpretation. Like this is a LITERARY work and you need author’s notes.

Black mascara is probably about her ex record label not letting her release her songs. She was always under pressure to release upbeat songs, usually featuring dj’s and they should be first place on the charts or she they wouldn’t let her release her album. She’s now going independent and she finally after 7 years around, put her album out there. Her style was never those songs that’s why kinda ironically Black mascara is the only upbeat song on the album. She’s an ARTIST! 🤩

i’m pretty sure black mascara is about her boyfriend who spiked her drink i heard that, the lyrics do say “look what you done to me my baby, look what you done to me my lover” so i doubt it’s about the label

Have you done any Madonna reaction videos? I can’t seem to find any on your channel. If not, you should most definitely react to her True Blue, Like a Prayer, Erotica, Bedtime Stories, Ray of Light, Music, American Life, Confessions on a Dance Floor, Rebel Heart, and Madame X albums. Just a few of her masterpieces. I think you’d love them.
