Every server I've been on advanced lockpicking starts off at 4 not 3, this includes official servers.

@@RayKit Advanced thievery should say 4 seconds at the start of the timer, also while picking you need to keep an eye on your dex as if it goes below 3.0 it will lower your skill which decreases the time to pick.

Yeah I’ve noticed that too. Kinda hard to pinpoint what skills effect what because there are so many. Also strength can go up to 8

@@chillaxin9237 You are right. There is a lot running in the background. 100% Strength determines the speed and efficiency of crowbar usage though. Thankfully, because this helps bumbling knuckle draggers like my character pick locks like the little guys/gals. Correct max Strength is 8, however you can only select max of 5 at character creation. That’s what I was referring to.

@@nlonis Max strength opens lockers instantly. The durability use is the same regardless of the strength.

This is true, either they will use ESP to find your buried chests or they will lock pick all your locks into your base. There's really no way to keep your loot safe in this game.

If you want to play games on highest setting, your probably looking at around £2000. You could go less, but you will be sacrificing some performance. I just got a new pc and spent £2000, I7, 32gb RAM, 500gb NVME + 1TB HDD and Nvidia 3070. Problem is your far better off buying a good complete pc , buying a middle range and buying seperate parts to upgrade it will cost a lot

The way things are at the moment with the new AMD/Intel cpus,the shortages, and the new gpus coming this year it may be cheaper to wait till later in the year it depends on what you are doing do you want to build your own machine or are you looking for a prebuilt ?? there are pluses and minuses to each , 2021 was the first year i've ever seen tech channels recommend buying prebuilt , that's because with the shortages and the scalpers pushing prices up and availability down it can be really hard to find the parts you want, as an example of this stupidness I built a system 3 years ago Ryzen 5 2700 , 32 gb ram , msi b450 Tomahawk, Samsung 860 evo 500gb m.2, 2tb ssd, vega 56 gpu, case, 750w platinum power supply, this cost just under £1000, to build the same system today would be nearly double the price, and don't forget AMD are changing their socket this year, all future cpus will be 5nm instead 7nm so if you buy an am4 cpu or motherboard you will need to replace both if you want to upgrade at a later date. My advice is do a LOT of research, check out linus tech tips,Jayz2cents, hardware unboxed channels they have all the information on buying Pc's , over the years I've built many systems for friends and family, my budget for My systems was usually around £1000 however, now it has had to double to £2000,

Stay away from prebuilts sold by cheap ass companies. Find a small, dedicated PC builder firm and by a build one from there. Usually the big companies cut ALOT of corners, even as far as making upgradeability simply impossible. Edit: basic grammar lol

Btw, GPU wise, do not go lower than a 1660 if you wanna play Scum with no issues :) Its also 'relatively' cheap compared to other cards right now.

Not sure if you can level it up using the block.. I could be wrong though. It's just a training tool

@@RayKit You can level up lockpicking on the practice board but it takes awhile

You used to be able to use the lockpicking board to level up but the last major update they made it very hard to level up. You would need to pick hundreds of gold locks to go from basic to advanced. So you pretty much have to create the character with advanced.

I mean you get 10 seconds to do lockers on police stations, airdrops and bunkers and if you’ve ever done lockpicking in any other video game like skyrim or fallout it’s the same shit just some extra factors

Lockpicking bunkers and airdrops is very easy. Playing solo I even cleaned up Killboxes 5 times (all that rooms) and skill level even wasn't advanced (but smth near it). But of course I practiced a lot. Player's locks are really hard. And it must be hard to lockpick them. I think that high quality loot must be locked. And it's ok.
