This game is an underrated masterpiece if you ask me. One of my all-time favourite games.

This is also one of my favorite games ever, and definitely my favorite Rayman! The gameplay is so fun, the writing so witty, and the atmosphere so beautiful. It often gets overlooked by the other main games in the series, so I'm glad I'm not the only one who's covered it.

Most of the teensies just give an excuse to flee the scene. It's pretty funny.

Rayman was so well known and popular that Rayman 3 made it into the news in Germany, at a time where video games where still considered for "nerds" and "kids". How did we go from this to... well nothing? Ubisoft needs to realize that there's still demand for games like this, the recent Crash and Spyro remakes, aswell as the totally new Crash 4 game show this!

26:42 I wouldn't blame the original release for this. It's just a problem with the widescreen display in the re-release. The scene looks normal in the original aspect ratio (4:3).

This my favorite rayman game and also my favorite game ever. Problably becouse was my first game ever, and see this review bring me nostalgia for that times. Your review is very good and i dont know why the people underestimate this game when is incredible.

This was probably my favorite ps2 game ever. As a kid I must have beat it 5 times over a few years. I would always go back to it religiously and it was never a boring play through. Love this game I’m about to replay it again as an adult for the first time

One of my biggest problems with Rayman 3 is that in the cutscenes the characters all talk way to fast, and a lot of the plot points and things that are happening aren't very clear at all

The Rayman franchise is my childhood, I enjoyed every game, even raving Rabbids. Still haven’t beat Rayman 3 to this day, I might give the PC version a go. Great review !

4:21 Alas, while Murphy never appeared in Rayman 4, or is it known nowadays: “Rayman Raving Rabbids”, he did appeared in the GBA version, so technically, he appeared in a version of Rayman 4, but only on handheld consoles.

found your rayman vids today, really enjoyed them :) gonna be checking some of the others out too. and man, Rayman 3 is also among my favorite games of all time. big factor is nostalgia of course, we had rayman 2, M and 3 on the family PC back in the day, but even playing it nowadays I just love it. the atmosphere, the music, the visuals, the gameplay... I mean yeah i always get stuck on the vehicle section before the tower of leptus, but everything before that is still worth revisiting on the xbox 360 version i got recently after not playing it for well over a decade. Rayman 2 I can now still play on my 3ds, which i know isnt the best port, but oh well, dont have a computer and my only consoles are an xbox 360 and a Switch, so yeah. Rayman M was a weird one, my pc version would occasionally crash and I didnt really understand what I was doing most of the time so I never got far, but I remember loving the opening cutscene, the music and for some reason I was just beyond hyped I could play as the Teensies and the Henchman 800/Generic Robot Pirate (which I really wish had a super articulated action figure) so I still have some fond memories. I honestly don't think there's any game announcement with the potential to make me more excited than a Rayman 4, a proper 3D platformer sequel. We'll keep dreaming. thanks for these fun videos, I quite enjoyed the personal touches like telling us about you pretending to be rayman in the backyard as a kid. good stuff 👌👌👍👍

As someone who grew up with the Rayman trilogy, I actually rank both the first and the third game over the second. The humourus / laid back story fit the universe and series better in my book. I agree that Rayman 2 is a masterpiece. But it honestly just feels cringe (sorry, couldn’t come up with a more fitting word) when it comes to it’s story. It simply took itself too serious when Rayman’s world are moreso colourful and magical, may I even say “beautiful”? That said, this game is easily one of my favourite games ever, and I loved watching your review of it! Thanks for a great watching! ❤

I loved Rayman 3 when I played it on PC when it released. I loved Rayman 3 HD when I played the remaster on Xbox 360. Honestly, I was really surprised when I learned that many didn't like this game and kinda failed to see why. It all seemed like minor issues blown way out of proportion when contrasted against all the amazing things this game did.

You should also cover Rayman Legends

All the people out there saying Sonic Adventure Deluxe is a "bad port job"... need to look at Rayman 3 HD. :v

I've been playing rayman 2 recently but can't gert my head around of the over world aspect of the game and where to go, it's like they tried to do 3D but the level design is soo confusing

I'm also a big fan of The Rayman Series and this is my favorite Rayman Videogame. I like it as much as Rayman 2 but Rayman 3 is my personal favorite and I'm not giving up on him he and Sonic both they deserve remastered versions of their games since Spyro and Crash Bandicoot have theirs and I prefer Sonic over Mario and Spyro over Crash and I like Rayman too his Videogame Series is the only Ubi Soft Videogame Series I love. I like Teenage Rayman best he looks cuter.

My second hand copy of Rayman 3 actually had the demo with it. The previous owner must have got it with RR. My copy of RR is platinum but didn't have the R3 demo. Ahen I did play R3 I did think that when you landed the loss of momentum was a bit off-putting. I think RR handles a bit different to Rayman 2 as well doesn't it?

Those water texture bugs are weird. I don't think they were present in the XBLA release.

One of the best games of all time. Rayman 2, Rayman M and Rayman 3 were all very different, but all equally special and amazing to me. And yeah, Rayman 3 got pretty weird in several places, not gonna lie... :) but I still love it, and when I was a kid, I didn't understand, or mind all of the weird moments anyway.

From what I heard Rayman 3 didn't do bad in terms of sales. Rayman 4 was coming but ubi saw profit in Wii and decided to scrap R4 and turn it into Raving Rabbits. The only thing that left is Rayman RR for GBA which supposedly follows story of what was supposed to be in Rayman 4

6:15 hm, I never had some of these problems on Xbox, altough the texture for the elite hoodlums sometimes also doesn't load, I never had musical stutters and the easteregg where you find razotbeard and his crew it looks perfectly fine.

i played the xbox version growing up, and the combo bar dodnt retreat under the score either. i cant vouch for how it works in the other versions because i havent played them but having it retreat under makes it really hard to read what your extra score actually is. so while any sort of combo timer wouldve been nice the static combo meter was probably the right call imo

Alot of people dont like the onrail start gameplay. I find it to be completely fine and let's you focus on getting lums and setting up the controls kinds for the later onrail sections in the music dimension and snowboarding levels

I think in the spanish version of Rayman 3 also the voices and the movements of the characters aren't sync

the first level is great! okay maybe having to do 2 minutes of something not related to the rest of the game in any capacity sounds kinda lame but its made up by a glitch where you can collect lums in that level if you're already at max life, and ONLY in that level. you do lose any excess life if you pick up a 6th fairy cage, nothing good lasts forever

Honestly Rayman 3 is probably the most underrated game in the entire franchise don’t get me wrong I will admit it does have its flaws but I would honestly say Rayman 3 is just as good as Rayman 1 and 2

Idk if you still answer to the comments in the comments section, but here's my reasoning WHY Rayman 3 is so underloved and why Rayman 2 is overly loved despite Rayman 3's OBJECTIVELY better gameplay. Look at franchises like Half Life. Half Life 1, has the OBJECTIVELY Better gamepay, Half life 2? It's boring and not NEARLY as varied as the first... but what makes it FAR more loved then the first half life, was it's RELATABLE dark storyline. Globally, people can RELATE to living in Crap conditions thanks to a crap goverment, when THEY play Half life 2 or Rayman 2, they don't give a crap about Gameplay... all they care for? Is story and atmosphere, which both games NAILED! Half life 1 and Rayman 3? It's all too goofy, like a saturday morning's Cartoon. and that's why it wasn't nearly as beloved or why Remakes become "Darker and Edgy" for people to relate to. The writer of Rayman 2 didn't came back for Rayman 3, he instead worked on BEYOND GOOD AND EVIL, the gameplay was NOTHING special or unique, or even FUN for that matter... but it's BELOVED by it's atmosphere and story that will FOREVER be remembered. If Beyond Good and Evil forcuses on GAMEPLAY instead of Story, would it NEARLY be as beloved in our timeline? No, not really, it will be forgotten, like "Metal Arms: Glitch in System" a Game that has OBJECTIVELY better gameplay but is forgotten because... the story isn't that great.

HD version has censorship. That alone is enough reason to not have bought it.

Would call it an anticlimax. Everything about it felt cheap. The jokes were cheap, the level design was cheap, the sound effects were cheap (some of the music was awesome, though). The gameplay was repetitive. Oh yes, that weird score system also felt incredibly out of place. Oh yeah, the story was a joke too.

Anything after Rayman 3 garbage Rayman Origins was average.
