Gameplay of the recently leaked prototype of Rayman 4. This action/adventure version of the game was cancelled and the prototype was transformed in the minigame collection Rayman Raving Rabbids, released in 2006 for Nintendo Wii and Playstation 2.

It's fascinating how between this and ZombiU, we almost had two games with the Rabbids serving their original purpose, only for them to turn into Ubisoft's off-brand Minions.

Rabbids has been around since the mid-2000s. Sick and tired of how they're compared when Minions came in 2010. Please reframe it better.

Seeing this game is so cool But at the same times is so sad to see it in this state, Damn you UBISOFT!!! But who knows if the Mario&Rabbits 2 DLC sells well we might get another Rayman 4.

If Ubisoft is going to judge the new Rayman game's profitability from the sales of a DLC of a game that isn't even mainly about him, then I'm even less interested to buy M+R SOH than I was to begin with. As much as I want a new Rayman, I'll not let them manipulate my buying decisions with dirty tricks, when there's zero guarantee they'll assign a team to work on Rayman, even if that DLC reaches its sales goals. Ubisoft has had plenty of time to have one of its studios start working on a new Rayman, yet they chose not to do it, instead using their resources to develop 4 new Assassins Creed games simultaneously and keeping the one studio that seems to actually care about Rayman (Milan) occupied with these DLCs for Sparks of Hope. The Montpellier studio's staff still have their hands full with BG&E2. My point is, you should only buy M+R SOH and its DLC if you are actually interested to play the game, not because of pressure. Also, I think Rayman fans (me included) have already done enough to express how much they want a new game and if that's not enough for Ubisoft, then that's their problem and at that point we have no responsibility to start taking our express of devotion so far as to start buying games that we're not even interested at, just because they contain a tiny DLC fraction that features Rayman. Sorry for the rant but I have really started to dislike this way of pressuring people to buy game X, because otherwise we'll never get a sequel to this or that series. People acted this way when Klonoa PRS was announced. Pressuring people to buy it, despite the remake being overpriced and containing no more extras than a slight upgrade in graphics. But at least it was a remake that made the two games available again, so I can somewhat understand the pressuring behaviour for that game. However this new Rayman is not even a remake, it's nothing more than only a DLC. If it's a tool for Ubisoft to test Rayman's profitability, I'm so done with them, count me out.

It makes me sad that this could have been a great game and will probably not come back.... if it does come back, then they would have to add a bit more advanced and cartoonish designs If the Rayman DLC for M+R SoH does well, then maybe Ubisoft could bring it back in some way..... let time decide

Lmao I love how the Rabbids somehow killed their own game and not the wii. And somehow they even killed Mario? The 2 well-received games spaced 5 years apart killed Mario? Rayman fans be malding fr.
