While I do like the mumbles for a lot of the voices in the first half, I always liked to imagine that the reason there weren't any text bubbles was because they were all just kind of white noise. The days drag on yet soar on by in the blink of an eye, and with the office/city setting Raymond originally was from it was just another noise to add to the rest. But when the setting shifts to the island, away from the city and away from the fast-yet-slow lifestyle and where people can focus on connections with others, that's when the noise quiets down and the voices start to mean something

I can't help but feel like at this point, Nook has been enormously successful as an entrepreneur and now has a board controlling the main corporate entity of his company, and they keep him from meddling in operational affairs by letting him pursue these weird community building side projects. This one is a kind of a retirement for him. I don't know about you guys but I get a weird impression that Tom feels much older in new horizons.

He does seem to act and behave as if he is older compared to Wild Worlds where he was doing mostly everything himself before getting the twins to help later on and dumping the shop responsibilities on them while he moved onto other things.

If they ever make another AC in the future, I hope they give each villager a backstory based on the popular theories for them. If they were able to give the Able Sisters a backstory, they can with the villagers for unique dialogue.

At the end I was expecting the player to come barging in his house and just be like "Leave now and I will go easy on you... If not, I'll have to sell you in a less humane way"
