First great video, good points made on Conyers, read the other comments as well, and no place is safe no matter where you are, so getting both sides of an area to me is a plus. This video helps me going forward to narrowing down my places to choose in Georgia. The info you provide is a big help and as you indicated....one can and must do their own research. Thanks.

I am someone that has lived in the metro Atlanta area for a long time and word to the wise is avoid it now. All of metro Atlanta is turning in to San Francisco 2.0 so if that’s your thing then hey go for it.

Lived here for 30 years and lots of travel vlogs and realtor's try to make this town look alot nice than it is. So with that being said. Lots of break in Lots of traffic. Can take you 45 mins just to go down 138. Starting from lakefield dr to old Covington rd Sheriff dept has had people die in their jail from thirst I live next to Rysa soccor field and this area has had multi drive bys since 2020 So if you can deal with that. Move here.

Been living here (Conyers) 19 years never been a victim of a crime, no break in. It's quiet and peaceful...like my city but I moved from Chicago here so maybe my outlook is different.

Korger, Publix, Food Depot, Aldi, Walmat, Target, Discount Meat Market, and a few mom & pop stores.. Plenty of places to buy groceries here.

@@msymister6776 we live with my sister at the moment and work for her trucking company as load managers but it's different from NC with rent its very expensive to rent here and cheaper to buy a home but it's cool but I kinda like Raleigh and Durham better because I can get to Washington D.C. in 3 hours

Conyers should be avoided. The representatives that decide on your taxes also sell real estate. in 4 years my home taxes have gone up each year. That's never happened to me in any other place i've lived. 2019 it was $900.00 and some change. 2023 they wasnt $2100.00. What's it gonna be next year? $3500?

I would say no. Conyers is highly car dependent.

Biggest con. Way too much crime. A lot of it stems from certain group. Conyers use to be country. I can remember 138 was two lanes. A lot of DeKalb county run off. If you don't mind being around dark idiots that can not drive then sure. Sun rise trailer park trash, mill stead, trash, old Town trash, Irwin bridge Rd trash. High Roc shoals trash, Salem Rd field stone all ghetto. The Walmarts suck. Back in the 69's thru the early 90's it was ok. After the 1996 Olympics. The whole place went down hill. The Rockdale county sheriff's office use to be by the hospital. It was very small. Even the jail has over crowded issues. That alone should speak volumes. Anywhere Marta comes close to the places are crap. One guess as to why or who. There was only Rockdale county high school for the longest time. Then heritage was built. Now they have more schools then room to build. Covington is getting just as bad. Newborn GA was a place to be if you like the country life. Monticello area. Even around Jackson lake is a joke. Nasty river water that feeds the lake. Yellow river, alcovey and the south river. Trashy. I've been to many states. Lots of cities. Conyers GA ranks very low. Look up the crime rate since the 90's and why it's like that. Like exactly who (Race) is destroying the area. Let the facts speak for itself.
