Patient from Bolivia experiences cold hands, fingers, and feet with increased pressure going into them. She has Raynaud's Disease / Phenomenon. Studies have shown there is a correlation between Raynaud's and the thyroid.
Structural Test reveals abnormality at the sacrum, 6th Dorsal Vertebra, 2nd Dorsal Vertebra, and 5th Cervical Vertebra. The 2nd Dorsal Vertebra was tested by pumping some of the inflammatory edema out which alleviated some nerve pressure and resulted in decrease symptoms of Raynaud's. It was corrected over the course of 3 days while she was visiting NYC then referred to another Gonstead Chiropractor -- John Whitlow -- in Washington DC area for further correction.

My mom had raynolds disease and scleroderma. I remember growing up and she always had back pain from the neck.down and we would always had to rub her back for hours. When she became.older she noticed that.her hands were turning white as paper and they would have a very severe burning pain in her hands and in her feet. Over the years the dr would put her on steroids but never listened to her when she told them it made her pain worse and her entire body was in awful pain. They just kept raising the dose but she told them no more and quit cold turkey. She eventually had to have fingers on both hands amputated due to them.turning black and dying. Then eventually she lost all of her toes on her left foot and her pinky toe on her right foot. Then not to long after that she lost her entire left hand due to the rotting black flesh and gangrene. The weird thing that I kept telling the drs but they would never listen was that she could not lay down, not to just lay to try and relax nor to even to sleep. If she did the pain would hit 10 times worse. I knew something wasn't right and knew that the back had to be somehow involved with what was going on with her but none of the drs listened and basically believed she wasn't in her head. I don't care for regular drs, they don't listen and they left my mom in so much pain it was undesirable. I helped take of my mom for aprox 10 yrs and seen things that I shouldn't had to see and to see my mom cry and not be able to do anything to help her was so sad and it will be something I will never forget. I remember one time the er gave her Dilaudid and she actually was able to lay down but with in 5 mins she was up in massive pain again. So I know her back had to do with these two diseases and probably her gallbladder being bad and her liver not right also. I just wish I knew about this when she was still with me. I would have gave anything to get her out if pain just for one day. But now she is in heaven and is no longer in pain but boy do I sure miss her. Thank you for this video, I appreciate it more then words can explain. God bless.💕

Shaun Lester Im so sorry to hear this. But I do believe a chiropractor could do more help then a reg dr. I just know my mom's mid back or her entire back had something to do with it. I also talked to someone a few yrs later and his wife had raynolds disease and he also said that she couldn't lay down because it made the pain worse. What I can tell you in order to try and help you with the info I know about these diseases is that you can not let your self get cold. When you go into the grocery store and get in the freezer section the best thing is to let someone else get it for you but if you have to get it make sure you have gloves on and maybe even a couple pair. Keep your head covered and make sure you keep your mouth covered when you go out in the cold. When you dress especially in the winter time make sure you layer your clothing because they said it would keep the body heat in a lot better. If you don't have to go out when it is cold then don't go out. And unfortunately normally when you have raynolds disease you have a secondary condition which could be Scleroderma or lupus. If it is scleroderma do not let them put you on steroids. I don't know what the reason is but your not supposed to be on steroids if you have it but if it is lupus then the steroids will be ok. When they made my mom take then they believed she had lupus because of the butterfly effect on the face but actually it was the steroids mocking lupus and put my mom in such terrible pain but they didn't want to listen but once they found out the it wasn't lupus but Scleroderma they try to wean her off of the steroids but my mom was having it the pain was too bad into intense that she did quit cold turkey it's a miracle of God that she did live through that because cutting off steroids when you've been on high doses for a long period of time can kill you but I guess her pain was much worse than death. If you smoke, please try to quit because when you smoke it makes your veins shrink and the blood and oxygen that needs to get to your fingers and toes gets compromised and that is why you start feeling the burning pain but people who smoke have to have a cigarette because it helps calm the nerves so they feel better for about 5 minutes and then they're in terrible pain again. And one of the biggest things that I believe that triggers you to hurt worse is stress. I'm talking anything other then going out in the cold. Any type of stress mental physical and I believe emotionally is one of the biggest. Doctors didn't know too much back then about Ronaldo's disease is scleroderma but what I have noticed over the years is that I've seen more and more people with it back when my mom had it it was like having something but no one wanted to be around because I've never seen nothing like it before and that was really sad for my mom because people would treat her so different because of her fingers but my mom is very strong and she fought and fought and fought I know she's more strong and I could ever be and my mom's aunt also had renault's disease she never had lupus or scleroderma she just had their nose Disease by itself and my mom passed away she didn't live much long after she actually live two months longer I think it's because she was tired and honestly gave up. I am truly sorry that you and your brother and whoever else it was that you said that has this, I'm just truly sorry and I hope one day they'll find a cure or even something to put it in remission like they do cancer yes cancer is bad but it does have a chair and you do have remission but with this disease it just eats you away piece by piece bit by bit I'm not trying to scare you I'm just being honest so if you ever see your fingers start getting like a little tiny black Speck on either side of your fingernail you need to get to the doctor immediately or even your toes cuz that's the ulcers starting and when they start they keep growing and then they basically is just dead skin which turns to gangrene if you need anything else or any questions asked I don't mind you can ask me anything but I think you have to like my comment for me to know that you wrote me because I had no clue that you message me back on this comment until I saw that someone liked it I do hope you and your family get better and the doctors ever find a cure or something to go into remission for this but I would honestly check into a chiropractor cuz I do believe in my heart that is my mom could have went to the chiropractor who knows she might still be here. But now I know she is not in pain anymore and that is a blessing..... God bless.💕

So, you concluded that impaired innervation of thyroid tissue due to impingement of cervical nerves, possibly secondary to "high heel use," caused Raynaud's-like symptoms. Also, with simple spinal manipulation, there was an immediate effect on restoring appropriate flow in the hands/feet. I am curious about this pathophysiologic mechanism, as I could not read anything about it in literature. Are there changes in TSH or T3/T4? Were those levels measured in this patient?

C3-5 relates to diaphragm. Diaphragm controls co2 in the blood stream acting like a vasodilator. Co2 pushes blood & oxygen to the cells.

Doctor I'm from Sri Lanka and we don't have chiropractors in here. BTW I have a same problem like hers mine is mostly sweating a lot in my hand and feet. Sometimes feel very cold too. And overall I feel very sweaty in my whole body all the time. It aggregates if I'm stressed. What should I do to get some relief? ( USA is a long way and too much expensive and lot of paperwork, otherwise I would definitely visit you)

I have thyroid issues, reynaud's phenomenon and sciatica nerve pain causing difficulty walking at times. Also get occasional shoulder pain from bone spurs and have carpal tunnel in wrists as well. So, I wondered if that can be helped by chiropractor also. Interested in possible referral to chiropractor in Northern California area. I live an hour North of Sacramento.
