This case has happened in the past with the man sueing back, winning, and destroying the threateners. Especially sice the body cam literally supports the coach. There isn't a way he would lose.

My heart broke for Masai. What should have been the most victorious night of his career and life was ROBBED by a racist bigot. I always knew that Masai didn’t instigate AT ALL. Strickland's false claims were laughable, an overkill 😂 Made it sound like Masai manhandled him like a rag doll 😂 It was an attempted extortion. When he saw Masai coming down his way, he saw dollar signs. Who knew what would've happened if the whole thing wasn't recorded on video. I look at police in Northern California as a corrupt & crooked bunch. I know of a couple of incidents where they participated in blatant cover-ups in order to save one their own. This was just one example & thankfully it failed.

Because although with the officer did was wrong, in no way shape or form did you show or explain how he was being racist. I think there's a few other details that are key to note: This is not the first time Strickland has lied, in 1994 he was charged with felony insurance fraud and making false statements which was later dropped to misdemeanor insurance fraud as part of a plea. This charge was apparently a result of him slashing his own tires and blaming it on burglars because he was upset about an increase in premiums. The reduction of the charge in the plea deal to a misdemeanor was likely done so that Strickland could become a police officer, since felons are restricted from such a career. Now there's two major questions to ask: Why would the Alameda police department want a known liar as an officer within their department? Why has this man not been fired after showing racism, incompetence and deceit within a position of power?

This is truly sad and terrible even if Masai was part of the other teams. If Masai was not a basketball coach, and if there would be no camera footage for stuff like that, I would be very disappointed with humanity. Hope this kind of stuff never happens again, and everybody should get a equal right to stand up for what they believe, not a biased lie that spreads.

In 1994, Alan F Strickland was arrested and charged of felony insurance fraud and making false statements. He is litigious af. There have been a few complaints about him regarding his conduct but nothing has happened. While "incapacitated" for a year, he was still being paid - Alan Strickland made $266,649 in total compensation. Of this total $98,147 was received as a salary, $59,430 was received as overtime pay, $98,268 was received as benefits and $10,804 came from other types of compensation. Taxpayer money. There is also a change petition that's trying to get him fired if anyone is interested.
