Listened to this vid with this headset. Got it today and am digging it so far! Comfortable even with my glasses too. Haven't tested the mic yet, but Im coming from cheap phone earbuds with mic so im sure ill be happy

if you have tested the mic, would you say it's similar to that tested in the video? I've seen other reviews and the mic doesn't sound as good as it does in this vid. Cheers

@goosewrld9320 I would say the video sounds better, but overall I'm happy with the mic and I'm still happy with the purchase! And I really like how nice the mic is to move around. It stays in place well

@tiredofpercs maybe check your mic settings on your ps4? You might just need to assign your headset mic as your main mic!

Just got it does the 7.1 surround sound work with a ps5? All ive seen is that some software is needed and obviously i dont have a pc to download it

I've been looking for gaming bass headphones and ones with a better mic I have the 2nd gen Xbox headset and the short mic sucks, but the sound quality is amazing. I'll definitely be saving my money to get this.

Good to see these are still going great guns.. Couple of Qs: 1) As for mic quality - how does it do in suppressing background noises? Will it pickup kids in the background/ keyboards clicks/ other ppl chatter in the room? Q2: Also, how good a job the passing does in blocking out the sounds?

These have a companion app and noise cancellation for the mic is a setting on it

i haven't tested any extra apps but as far as the mic comes raw it picks up quite a bit of noise from the background

@@kyrios1120 not really. there has been an issue maybe once or twice where i couldn't connect the headphones so i just removed the usb and put it back in and it worked fine after

Yup, still relevant in 2023. ^_^ Good to know since I had this last year. Batteries do last for a long time. I have been using this pair of headphones on and off for work and personal use (roughly 15 hours a day) and I usually charge it twice a week only. Great and balanced sound, and the mic is better than my wireless (Bluetooth) Audio Technica earpods.

@@skysky_14Generally, I haven't tried using this for more than 12 hours, 15 was my max. If I use it consecutively, I charge after 2 days.

@@goosewrld9320 yup, pretty much. Voice is clear, with right balance of bass and treble, although I would have liked it if the audio was a bit "crispier".

Does the barracuda x retain the gaming mode settings or reset after disconnect current connected device. for example. Connect to phone, turn on gaming mode. disconnect the phone and connect to switch. Does the gaming mode still turned on? ( Razer Audio Mobile Gaming Mode setting 1:13 )

Does this headphone mute mic button works everywhere like on USB mode and Bluetooth mode in all windows? I'm asking this because I've recently purchased cosmicbyte obreon headphone in which there is a mute button but it only works in Bluetooth mode and on top it does not work on android mobile apps like discord. So can anyone help me on this?

It's no software based mute, if you press the switch the mic is disconnected. Works on bluetooth, wired, dongle

@@josetheg2318 Not sure what it could be for you. I apparently didn't have the mic fully connected. You have to make sure it's locked in when you attach it.

Ok I have a question, I am looking to get this for work and gaming, however I spend a lot of time in meetings and on calls so I am kinda fussy about my mic quality, this doesn’t sound too bad but does anyone know if we can swap the mic out and if changing the mic will make the audio quality better

No, but you can use a normal microphone that isn't from the headset and use the headset as headphones

i can tell you for a fact that these are great headphones i have had these for around a year and a half and got these used from amazon for less than 50 bucks for some reason and they still are great headphones that i use on a day to day basis

Had them for a week or so and so far they have been pretty janky....lads tell me they sound like shit and I cannot get the firmware update to work because it does not acknowledge the dongle is plugged in when I run the install

The plastic frame of this headset is not durable at all and would easily torn out even after short period of usage. For me I would spend more to purchase something more sturdy and durable.
