Today I have a Review and Compariasion on the Razer Cooling Gel Infused wrist rest. Vs the Stock Razer Wrist rest on the Blackwidow Elite and HyperX Cooling Gel Wrist Rest.
I prefer the HyperX Cooling Gel Wrist Rest. It is way more plush and more comfortable. It beats every wrist rest I have tried and compared it to. You can even see how much more plush the whole HyperX is vs the Razer Plastic bezel/Foam. Its like half plastic casing and half memory foam. I have the exact same dilemma right now since I've been looking to replace my stock Black Widow Elite wrist rest. There's a huge tear on the pleather now. I might as well go or the HyperX instead. Thanks for the review my good sir.

This was an excellent review! I've bit the bullet and bought the Razer, it has been a great decision mainly because of the fabric material, and the raised slant that fits in with the Black Widow Elite's design portfolio (the slant at the front of the keyboard). The Razer wrist was firm for awhile, but I've been using it for hours on hours daily and it has worn in just nicely, I no longer have issues with sweat like I did with my stock wrist rest. This goes without saying, this review had been excellent and informative, really well done on raising all the pros and cons!

Hi friend. I apologize for the delayed video. I hurt my hand and didn't want my beat up hand to show.. LOL... but great that it works for you. I do like the sleek looking design. The Fabric material is really dark darker than the HyperX so it does from a glance look stealthy... take care...

I know this is a year old comment but I’m worrying that if I buy the HyperX the gap between the keyboard and the rest will make it a bad decision for my razer keyboard… I actually was gonna buy the razer one until I saw this video. Ughhhhhhhh

I've been using the Razer for many months now and I'm still super happy with it. No wear, the plastic edges don't bother me at all, and just a quick clean with water and it's like new again (plus it's great for the summer for a cooling effect). The left and right side got a little wrinkly but I don't feel that during use. I also have a glass wrist rest for my other keeb but that's basically just for looks and not even remotely comparable.

thanks! going for de hyperx, in my country prices are very apart, the hyperx is 20dls and the razer is 40dls, and knowing the hyperx feels better and is way cheaper makes the clear winner.

I didn't know the Razer has an upwards slant at the front until i got it but I got the HyperX to replace it. The Razer is also nice but I feel they should have used the same design as the Huntsman V2 Analog's wrist-rest where the cushion wraps around the edges of the frame. I have the Huntsman Elite keyboard which has a similar design as the Razer Ergonmic Pro's minus the RGB on the edges.

I tried both razor wrist rests personally, prefer the one in the black widow elit set much more (with pleather and memory foam inside). But I don’t need the keyboard, any other wrist rest with pleather and memory form? Really appreciate any recommendations.

The HyperX is my favorite. But the Razer Plush (not cooling gel version) is really nice. That is very plush and comfortable. Tho it is on the big side. See my razer playlist as I do have a Vs video on many wrist rests.

HyperX has paper carton inside so when you bend it once it stays "broken", and I saw that firsthand in one shop. Also some have said it wears out more quickly. So I went for the Razor one.

The Hyper X is still softer. I am about to buy a new one as the one I have is already too lose. Not bad for couple years of soft material no rips.

My stock Razer rest has started to peel, I really love it because it fits perfectly and is comfortable. If I get this right, there is no stock replacement. Does this absence of magents create problems in your experience? Is the Razer stable enough?

Its stable... if you love the razer rest design.. and if you really need 100% stability... you can always use thin velcro to attach and remove with ease. Industrial velcro (thin) would make it super stable... just a thought since it has no magnets

Its stays cool long enough for gaming sessions. But if non stop marathon gaming I would say 20min then with a 5-10min break it gets cool again

Which G Series did you get? I just got the G915 lightspeed clicky... I can only find the Glorious slim stealth wrist pad to look pretty good with it. I'm going to order it.

@@DisplayReality I got the G 815 wired cuz i dislike wireless stuff :) Also the shift is smaller in the Eu version and i hate that cuz i often press caps that is bigger key..but the board feels good..slimmer then my g910

No tilt as its angled in a way to have a flat bottom. It goes right by the keyboard so it could lay on it or close to it if needed but it won't tip your keyboard with a bit a pressure when u play..

Like if the pleather was peeling? If it was the fabric version in may be dry skin? I have never had that issued on either versions or fabrics. Unless it is a defect of the pleather peeling...

The razer laptops look nice but I'm still not convinced also. Why don't you like them (laptops)? I like keeping everything razer but the hyperX is the only different brand I really like.
