Toprak is just on another level. He is outriding that R1Ms capability. He's squeezing out every single milligram of performance from the bike and tires just to try and compete against the superior V4R. Hopefully next year he can get the BMW to be competitive, I really believe this man is a multiple world champion material. Pound for pound I think he is the best rider on the grid.

This is the best example of how Toprak masters motorcycling and doesn't just accelerate at the start and finish. Luckily Toprak doesn't drive a Ducati, otherwise it would be boring. With the Ducati you simply have the speed. With this driving style, toprak is already a world champion at SBK!! Actually, at SBK you should also get driver skills points, not just for the ranking.

Greatest race of the year, only two riders fighting it out perhaps, but they were at the limit - a tricky circuit that must be kept on the calendar, it never disappoints 👍🙂

Their tires were completely spent. There was nothing "on the limit" in those final laps. There was a .7 second gap between them. We are talking several bike lengths.

The problem with the whole moving over to MotoGP is that when you find yourself in the Yamaha family and you realise that Yamaha's MotoGP package is ridiculously bad, then that move is simply not an option. Toprak knows this, Kenan knows this, Yamaha know this. If Toprak had been a Ducati rider the last few years, then this year, he would have already been a MotoGP rider and within a year competitive and at the top. Zero doubt. Jorge Lorenzo said in one of the videos on the MotoGP website that he thinks that Toprak would be very competitive in MotoGP on the right bike, and the way he said it, it was clear that he meant not on a Yamaha... Hell, not even in WSBK...Just imagine how bad he wants to get on another bike, if he turned down a 1.5 million USD base salary offer from Yamaha. That is without bonuses and the rest... And Yamaha's WSBK package is at least competitive with Toprak on it, it is just good enough. Yamaha's MotoGP package is insanely bad. I'd say a stellar career in WSBK is much better than a compromised one in MotoGP. On a Ducati, he'd be top 3 in MotoGP.

Agreed bro, crossplane engines are very well design to withstand high speeds in corners for better traction that's why Toprak felt that the bike could handle that situation and yeah he used the advantage to outsmart opponents

There are 5 rounds left in this season, the point gap is only 70 points, the biggest chance is Alvaro, but if he DNF in all the remaining series this season, the story will be different, just waiting for who makes a mistake between Alvaro & Toprak, the competition is getting more interesting, these two crazy riders in WSBK deserve the highest respect

@@j.taveras8447 No. It's the cheque book of BMW. Yamaha and BMW bikes seem to be on par because Yamaha is better cornering and BMW faster on the straights. But we will see if there is more potential in the BMW bike in 2024.
