Great video. Man its funny as dads we are more excited than the kids are when they get their presents. Also, any idea if you can modify this thing easily?

I agree! 😂 The MX350 isn’t that easily modified as the basic upgrade would be a 36v or 48v kit with bigger motors that require a custom motor mount. Also, because it doesn’t have suspension it’s rough at higher speeds. Modifying Razor’s MX500/650 platform is much easier and they have full suspension. 48v kits for them are plentiful on Amazon for around $150, the big ticket item though is a 48v lithium battery. My 7 year old rides an MX500 and it’s fine.

my 3 & 5 year old sons have the STACY 12 & 16 inch with top speeds around 9mph and 14mph. They have been having a blast. I was looking at the Yamaha PW 50 at $1700 but this razor is silly cheap. This being said I don't think 30min is enough ride time. At least on the Stacy cycles you can just throw in an extra battery and be back in action. I do however like that the Razor and the Stacy are almost silent. I'm guessing the HOA and my neighbors won't like the PW50 not to mention all them Lib Tards that hate fossil fuels.

4-6 hours to charge depending on how far you drain it. You can’t swap out the batteries conveniently, they are a huge pain. You just plug it in to charge it.

Just got this for my sons 8th birthday. He hasn't got it but I am excited for him! I have found not to believe the age requirements with these. Seems perfecr for a confident bike rider 6-10.

@@mac78xxx28 It's gotta be a safety write off. I just hate to see anyone who got this for a 5' 135lb 13 year old. We got a second for our daughter, 52" 65 lbs. She loves it too but her knees are too high. We are not a dirt bike family either. They should be sold 6-10 years and a height less than 54". I just hope this helps anyone on there purchase. They deffinetely aren't power wheels.

I just bought my daughter this yesterday and we are in ny soooo yeah snow incoming...should it be put away for the season or can it grip at all on ice or snow?

Depends on how icy it is. My kids occasionally ride theirs in the snow, but it is much more slippery and they can get hurt easier. Especially if they aren’t seasoned riders. I’d steer clear or hard slippery ice personally.

Does it have variable speeds? I’m wondering if my 3.5yr old could handle it. I’d prefer for him to start out slower.

It’s not variable, and the throttle isn’t proportional, it’s just an on/off switch. Some kids can handle it, some can’t. Generally if your child can confidently ride a bicycle with no training wheels they can ride this. Exercise extreme caution though. A four year old crashing this at 16mph could result in severe trauma. That’s why Razor covers themselves legally and recommends riders be 13 or older. If safety is a concern you may want to start out with the MX125, and sell that once he outgrows it.

@@MapleBoarder78 thanks for the reply! I’m leaning toward the stacyc 12”. It has speeds 5, 7 and 9.. it’s spendy but hopefully built to last. The razor mx125 isn’t available anywhere around me, unfortunately.

Razor states it’s for riders aged 13 and up. I personally find that untenable. The size of the bike actually seems to best fit kids anywhere from 7-10 years old. My 11 year old daughter tries it ride it sometimes and it’s much to small and underpowered. She prefers her MX650. But my 7 year old son prefers the 350.

He was 6 in the video. A 13 year old would be way too big but they have to make age disclaimers on them due to danger from speed. It’s not really based on the size necessarily. My son is now 9 and is just starting to get a little too big for it.

I think he would feel like it is a bit too small for him. He’s in a bit of an awkward stage at that age and size. He’s a bit too big for the MX350 but at age 7 I think he may be too immature to ride the size up which is the MX500/650.

My 11 year old daughter is 82lbs and she is not a fan of riding it. It’s just a bit too small for her and struggles up hill. Personally I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone 10 or up so your 9 year old is right at that cusp of it being too small for him. The size and speed of the MX500/650 would be a better fit that he could grow into.

I would go with an mx500 or mx650. My 11 year old daughter doesn’t like to ride our mx350. It’s to small and underpowered and she’s small for her age. She weighs about 80lbs.

Not very well. It would be incredibly awkward to ride and slow. If it was completely flat ground and paved it would be “doable” but not practical.

There are aftermarket training wheels that can be purchased from sites like monster scooter parts or eBay, but they are universal, so they would need some fabrication to fit. They are also quite expensive ($80-$100). Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this bike for someone who needs training wheels. With the speeds this bike can achieve (15+mph) training wheels could be dangerous. If they are not old enough to ride without training wheels, the 24v Razor Dirt Quad may be more appropriate. 👍🏼

The Razor website states it’s for ages 13 and up, but the size of the bike is more appropriate for a 5-8 year old child. I believe they do this for legal reasons. The bike can get up to 16 mph, and a hard crash at that speed with a 5 year old could be devastating. With that in mind, my son is a seasoned rider and is the size of a larger 5 year old. He enjoys it very much.

No, this dirt bike is too small. It’s even too small for my 11 year old daughter. You’ll want to go for an MX 500 or 650.

It really depends on their skill level. I will say, my Son is 9 and is close to outgrowing it. But he is very skilled and has been riding these for years.
