And I love how you're going against the grain here and you are going to have a lot of negative remarks from people who do not 🚫 believe in sharing how to setup up a speed run build. You have ballz to do what the hobby should be doing. Which is helping others enjoy the hobby. And this helps beginners or those who are struggling and hit a ceiling of understanding of how to go further. Hey Raz, I jusst wanted to say thank you! I have been in R/C world since the 70's... Your offering up key knowledge at no expense to the viewers, which is PRICELESS~~!!! As a 7yo then my Dad tought me how to crash planes, later I learned to fly and then drive. I just jumped back into this hobby at 53 and I am loving it. Jets, Planes, Nitro, Lipo, Buggies and boats. Too much fun.... I appreciate you and what your doing for the hobby. When I build up my cat 74inch I will send you a message and let you know how it came out and if it can break 130mph. I have built what you have shown here in this video, im gonna run it in a couple days. Keep you posted. Keep up the great work!

Nailed it, guys like me not a big speed runner. IF I hit 120 I am good I can quickly change it for bashing. Spool and diff and smaller pinion done. If needed. Great info Raz. Miss you at Hobbytown in Sanford. Saw you there once.

65 mph is perfect for our road track the straight away. For 1/8 has 700 feet straight custom built for 1/8 on roads thank you for amazing video truly the best video ive seen

Didn’t even finished the build and half way through ordered the xlx2 while I was waiting for other bits to turn up. YES! ive been waiting for someone to make a bible like this. ie DO these exact things, with these exact parts and run 150mph. looking forward to part 2 and 3! would love to see a 150mph Bible made. also its the TransMISSION ratio, not the TransFER ratio ;) LOVE THIS STYLE VID! especially if you get more detailed later like bearings, toe etc. ie maximizing effeciency. aero etc.

A couple of corrections: 1. KV: At 7:50, the 'kay-vee' with regards to any electric motor (not just BLDC motors like here) isn't 'kV" (which is kilovolts), or "KV" (which doesn't mean anything), but is instead ...in engineering, it is common for 'k' to denote a constant (from the German 'konstant'), with a subscript to denote the type. 2. The subscript 'v' doesn't stand for velocity but voltage.

Im just trying to go 100mph lol. But im not on arrma. Im on Traxxas 1/16. Erevo arms (wide), Castle Sidewinder 3 kit (5700kv) 39-43 gearing, steel cvd's, hot racing diff cases, Ovonic 3S 50c lipo, stifff suspension with travel limiters and nitro fuel hose as bump stops on the shock shafts. Topped with a Team Blue Groove Celica grp5 body and Contact Rc 68mmX26mm foams. Raz i know youve seen me list this before but i like to leave ideas for others aswell ❤ hopefully switching to arrma soon 🎉

Got a 1717 & MMX8S coming this week, been debating on what to buy for a speed run again (started last year) and was thinking of going back to the VTE, but i think Limitless looks best option!

As much as I'm not into speed runs this is a very interesting and very informative video

Raz how about doing one on a smaller platform. Maybe a 4tec or slash trying to break 100mph. I know it doesn’t give you a chance to show off/plug your bad ass parts but not everyone has xlx2 combo, carbon fiber’d limitless to build off of. (No sarcasm either, the PP and the shafts are killer lol)

Your gear app suggested 34T pinion to get to 131mph on 8s. My first run with the mmx 8s and 1717 1650kv on 8s with 29/34 gearing I did 130mph. So I would go way faster with 34/34 gearing than the calculated 131mph.

what is name of app you are using to calculate rpm, kv, gear ratio, pinion teeths etc. ? thanks

So with the big 2028 1100KV motor you have to put it on the other side?

I thought the Limitless came with the GP5 2.80 ratio diffs, not the 3.30 ratio diffs as found in the Typhon for example.

Have you ever used the Arrma 50 series motor mount insert? Will it only fit a 50mm can, or will it actually fit a 56mm can if it has a 25mm bolt pattern?

Raz is that gearing app on Apple phones, I have Android in that exact same app it's not on Play store, I've tried other apps but that really no good then when you got is good , can't find it on Android, by the way keep up the great work be doing for all of us

Do you not over torque your screws at times using thet dewal drill? Taking them out I use a drill but tightening I use my hand to feel the torque. Nothing worse than stripped threads.
