correct me if am wrong...indipendence really sometimes has nothing to do with money....it is a mindset!

Independence is not about the money one makes, but it’s really a state of mind. Women become independent when a man fails to lead. Most women want a man who can lead, but men these days have taken a back seat/a passive role, so most women have no choice but to step up and take the reins. If she doesn’t her family will suffer. Talking from experience.

A lot of misconceptions about independence in todays world. We are so much defined about our careers and other weird stuff (I chuckled at sitting at the pool lol). Independence is a state of mind what happens after your career is not anymore or something unfortunate happens. Thats why depression is so common today. Marriage is a complimentary situation, if you feel too independent, both man and woman, you have no business to be in it. Just like any institution even a company, its based on teamwork and each member knowing their strength and weeakness. It has taken me almost over half my life to come to this realization. If you feel the need to reassure your position as independent in a loving institution, its either you have insecurities or your partner feels threatened and doesnt let you grow.

Wow,kalekye you articulated the independent woman character very well You represented us very well! Good topic guyz. As for men, times have changed.Culture elvolves.Stop hiding behind ancient traditions that were relevant in the past but not relevant in the world of today.

This sister is a natural beauty Queen who speaks from her heart. I still don't think there's such a thing as independent women/ independent men. We codependent on each other in order to make a team.

Sure I loved the show but as for me independent woman is one who has a whole understanding of herself, one who knows what she's living for and will always walk in pursuit of her magical dreams; She endeavors so much to becoming the 'ideal woman' the bible talks about and she spends little or no time talking negativity about other women; She listens to her kind conscience and implements that which is right. I don't view independence as acquiring much money and wealth to giving a woman a ticket to maltreat or just take control over a man she's truly suppose to love and have good upright children with. @Kaleche more love, u nailed it 🥂
