RB25DET Neo Swap Hardbody D21 is Finally Out!

3 жыл бұрынAfter alot of work, angry whopper(my 1988 Nissan D21) is out of the back yard, where she spent a year in major surgery getting a RB25DET swap, and im so happy to be able to finally daily driven her, she still needs some stuff done, but she is finally drivable. Thanks bud! The motor i had it delivered from a JDM Importer close to me, JDM of Florida if im not mistaken, as per the wheels they are Work Crag IV 3 piece and they are wraped with some Federal 595RSRR Tires 205/50-15 and thanks be safe too 🙏🏼

Lol yeah man i have to upgrade most likely ill hardwire the pump while the bed is off and do some mods on it

I am doing the same thing putting a fully built 600hp RB25 in my 96 D21 that I pulled out of my JDM 180sx track car, I am relying heavily on your experience , did you end up using the z32 rear sump oil pan ? and were you able to get all the transmission bolts in ?

I used the oem pan, and the 2 bottom bolts fit the 25 the top 2 need to be redrilled out and the alignment pin hole too, if you have the plate between the trans and rb that goes in between, you can put it in the ka bellhousing and redrill the necessary holes, i suggest sealing the top 2 holes before redrilling the new ones, thta what i did

What engine mounts did you use were they bolt in or fabricated

Did you use an adapter between engine and transmission or it goes fit?

No surprisingly it bolted right in, only modifications needed was sealing the top 2 holes and redrill as the RBs a little spaced out

I used my trans from the z24 i with that modification and rand a 300zx clutch kit and i dont remember but i think flywheel too from a 300zx (z32)

Some people cut or bang the firewall, i didnt want to mess with non of that so the motor sits a little forward but didnt affect nothing tbh, the only thing i cut was upper radiator support and made a bracket to be able to put it back with bolts, but as far as cutting anything in engine bay no i didnt have to
