NIBAL MALSHI & ENSEMBLE directed by FIRAS ZREIK - Golden Age of Arab Music & Song. The ensemble is led by the qanun (zither) player Firas Zreik and features Zafer Tawil on oud (lute), John Murchison on bass, Johnny Farraj on riqq (small frame drum) and Gilbert Mansour on tabla (goblet drum) The program includes a wide range of selections from the 20th-century classical Arab repertoire of the Levantine - Egyptian region, including works of “Golden Age” greats Umm Kulthum, Abdel Wahab and Fayrouz, and such composers as Sunbati and the Rahbani Brothers. The concert marks the New York debut of Nibal Malshi.

I was there in November at La Roulette. It was such ana amazing soirée! Especially Firas and his talent ❤️ big hug everyone and thank you for the Arabic music. We really need that in New York. Shukran Jazilan!

I enjoyed listening to your entire show! Absolutely beautiful and heart warming to hear all those oldies from back home. I wish I could see this show in person. I live in Florida. Qanun player…. Excellent job!!! Could you tell where this took place? And where are the future shows if any for 2023

It's almost impossible to imitate the Egyptian accent 100% but I wouldn't believe she is not Egyptian if I didn't see her last name. She got it perfectly in Madam Te7eb!
