It's interesting how Anthony has resonated with some of the masses. I find it fascinating that he, like almost all new successful music, makes songs with no dynamics. Everything I've heard by him so far had no changes. Every song is like one long verse. This is the technique used in hip hop, and most new songs. I do like his sound, lyrics and voice. I just think it's weird how art movements shift.

Redding California (Shasta county, the real Northern California). It’s a more rural hard working blue collar town, and not a place most Americans would think was in California. A lot of people around here call this part of California the State of Jefferson. There hasn’t been a person I have met, ran into or had a conversation with who hasn’t mentioned the impact Oliver Anthony’s music has had on them. We love the lord and we recognize the anointing God has placed on on this man’s life. He needs a nation of prayer behind him.

Amazing thing is that they have only known each other a month. The lead got a little ragged on RMNOR, but that just shows that they are still getting their groove down. As they continue to get time to practice together (I have to assume the accompanist has a day job) they will blend even better. Especially, there are times when the supporting guitar can be a bit more mournful on certain numbers rather than so bright (and the guitarist has it in him - some of his breaks just tug at your heart). All in all, though, glad they found each other. You can tell they have great personal chemistry on that stage.

This is how we live here in Southern Virginia. A sweet, simple life loving God and struggling in today's world. May not be for everyone but we sure love our country life.
