Nice video... 100% cap acc convertability exposes india to greater risks. Being novice Indian rupee will be prone to lots of financial frauds as noticed in several instances of european and american banks. May be we should focus more on consistency in GDP growth and inflation. tx

Keep dreaming. No one will take a currency that depreciates 8% against Swiss Franc every year. World is moving towards Bitcoin. Even is Switzerland people have lost faith in Swiss Franc (the hardest fiat currency) and are buying BItcoin. ROFL.

Indian government (and individuals) must weigh the pros and cons carefully when considering full capital convertibility. India should adopt a gradual approach to economic reforms, opening up its capital account step by step while ensuring that its financial system becomes more robust and resilient. (Had Russia gone for complete convertibility, its economy would have suffered greatly due to sanctions imposed by Western Governments during the Russia-Ukraine war.)

All Indian citizens should be allowed to deposit foreign currency up to Rs 1000000 . ( Dollars,Euro , pounds etc. ) All Indian companies , firms and institutions should be allowed to convert Indian rupees up to Rs Ten crores.
