I started ~400 after the startline as I did on the recce recording as well due to misinformation.
At recording day the road was still in pretty bad condition after the winter, but it was better during the Rally Finland which is the condition what the RBR stage is representing. Also many of the logs on the side of the road were removed before the rally.

Very impressive... A lot of care and attention was put into this stage. Things like trees meticulously being placed always gets me excited 😊

I agree. On most of the places the road profile is very accurate on both of the corner radius and the shape of the crests and hills.

Damn, it so well made stage. Shame that there is no any shadows and transition from road to the ditch is so harsh. For me there should be at least one more row of polygons to make it smoother.

Yep. The edge of the road and ditch also feels very brutal and makes the car behave weirdly. IRL those are not so sharp. Or if the ditches are just remade, the new and sharp edges are soft and not solid hard like in RBR

The shape (geometry) of the road and secondary roads could be improved with a good Lidar mesh from "National Land Survey of Finland"

it is done 0.5p Lidar "National Land Survey of Finland" so it is not perfect but pretty close..

Seems to me that all the turns are much sharper in RBR? Or is it the FOV that messes with it maybe?

I tried to make the camera angle to look similar. On GoPro I had the most narrow FOV, which is 90° if I'm right and now in RBR I had 0.80°. Maybe 0.85° could have been better, but clearly there are some corners that are way too tight in RBR. And wrong shape and width as well, no matter which FOV you have.

RBR would be nice when it would support new wheels with out shitty reg edit (it fucks up other racing sim ffb setups), but still nice to see how good is it.

From my understanding it's not about RBR supporting the wheels, it's wheel manufacturers supporting the 20 year old game. Mika from RSF has shown couple times recently where they work together to get functionality of features - like how RSF plugin can force wheels to use the car's real rotation
