I was driving a while without knowing my brake lights were out until a co-worker brought it to my attention when she saw me driving home. Once I got home, I watched your video and then went to the auto store to buy the parts. Your video was easy to follow and fixed my problem for my 2004 Honda Accord.

Nice good job!!! Yeah u got to check ur brake lights often watch some of my newer videos I use stick to press the brake peddle to check lights my self u can use that idea

Thank you RB. I don't have an Accord, but a Honda Prelude 1991 and your video is the clearest I found for changing my brake lights.

Thanks RB, I like your videos. I tried to do what you said on a 2007 Accord, but I couldn't turn the brake light. I could turn and remove the turn signal light though. I saw another video and the guy said the 2007 has a light box with LED lights. He didn't show how to take it out. I noticed that 9 out of 15 lights don't turn on (left), and 6 of them don't turn on (right). Can you show how to do it on a 2006-2007 Accord. Those years are different. Thanks RB!

I have the 7443 but it’s much bigger than the brake light. On my EX the access is directly behind the lights in the trunk, not on the side behind the little cover panels.

@@RBTheMechanic My bad brother. I found the bulbs actually right where you showed! I should’ve watched your lesson first. Also that small bulb, I think #941, that was in the trunk lid. Don’t quote me on that bulb #. Hey you have a video on changing the headlight assembly on my 2005 accord? Thanks for your help brother.

@@claymarsh353 sorry I don’t have video on that but u need to drop the bumper and then head light hve like metal bracket under it with few 10mm bolts

@@RBTheMechanic A1Auto has the info in a pretty good way. Lotta hassle to change an assembly though! Simple sealed beams is when I grew up. Thanks though RB

Hi! I recently bought a Honda accord 2004 I’m kind of confused because my brake lights don’t turn on unless I turn my head lights on. So i have to turn my high beams on in order for my brake lights to turn on. Is it supposed to do that? I tried changing the bulbs but it obviously wasn’t that because they don’t turn on.

No u sure brake light works with head lights because the light turn on in back with head lights then they suppose to get brighter with brake pressed

What if my tail lights don’t work while I’m driving but they come on when I hit the breaks? The head lights me dash Lights work, and tail lights only work when I hit brakes. I replaced the small light fuse already

Well it’s dual bulb so one bulb has 2 flairs when u turn on head light the single flair turns on and when u hit the brakes the second flair illuminates and make it brighter so u might just need new bulbs

Well u have turn siginal bulb brake bulb and tail light bulb brake and regular light bulb are same bulb since they are double filament

Out of curiosity, why must grease be wiped off the bulb? Does it heat up or something?

It will heat the bulb and it will last less than normal life
