Its tough design and rugged frame have been impressing me ever since I have seen them cruising the bashing fields in 2011. I must wait NO LONGER.. and I have unleashed the POWER!
In this film, I test out the 6S Lipo Battery capability and run 24 VOLTS to the HPI / Castle "BLUR" ESC and "TORK" 2200kV Brushless motor. I try this both ON and OFF ROAD to put the Hype to the test.. IT DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! Everything from INSANE Speed.. Standing Backflips, KILLER SUSPENSION and MONSTER POWER .. what more could I ask for!
I was running a 5450mah Lipo set, and the run time was approximately 45 Minutes before I blew the tire off of the thing! LOL! AWESOME :~) Totally my fault, and irresponsible RC'ing.. but DANG it made GOOD FILM!! Trusting the All Metal Geared Transmission, I was not afraid to go full throttle on the straight away.. but I could only get to 1/2 Trigger! IT WAS SOOO FAST! It also has a Reverse Gear.. for when you get into a bad situation. I like the FWD and RWD combined to give the rig a BEAST QUALITY.

I have to say, I've come back to this video a few times, and very overall impressed. The filming is awesome, and the HPI Savage Flux HP is one of the best remnants of the monster truck world. It's not a truggy trying to be a monster truck, a muggy, lol. Despite all the faults, one of the few that I absolutely love, and actually want to own. Thanks Medic!

For those that say you're hard on your RC's grow a pair it's RC's that is why you buy them to run it to it's limits have fun and when you break it fix it that's part of the fun accomplishing something like in my case I'm partially disabled my arms don't work anymore like they used to I was injured at work and I can't get out here and work on these like I used to work on my real cars and trucks!! stop whining enjoy life it's too short

Yah I agree I got a Traxxas rustler for Christmas like a year ago and I’m glad I did it got me into the hobby and I was able to crash that thing into walls and try to get a feel for a fast new car that I could try jumps with not just some trashy toys r us car that I used to have I am now really into the rc community because of this channel and I’m saving up for a trx4 right now so I can get a feel for crawlers

Is the speed controller that comes with it adjustable to turn down the take off power so not to pop wheelies so easy?

The ESC in these are fully programmable. When I go out bashing I take my laptop with because with the Castle Link you can program it all the way down to motor timing, punch control, motor power (For. & Rev.), volt cut-off, brake, drag-brake, etc. You have the range to make it get out-run by a new bright or kill a big block nitro.

My favorite RC stuff is the (non-electric) fuel-powered stuff! It's harder to get going and keep going, but that challenge--plus the fact that burning fuel makes it that much more real--is what adds to the fun for me. This is the only one of your videos that I've seen so far. Do you do the fuel stuff too?
