I just got the brushless Vantage yesterday. So far I've had a blast with it. I couldn't really find any 4wd brushless RTR buggies on the market actually. Arrma, Corally, Traxxas, Associated and Losi don't have a 1/10 scale brushless 4wd buggy on the market. They're all either brushed, 2wd, 1/8 scale or just don't have a product

maverick Strada do a buggy but in our opinion it is not as good as the vantage

We have both brushed and brushless but I think we might transition over to brushless as there are more people are joining with brushless cars … still plenty of brushed vantages running though

This in version one was my first real non toygrade RC car I ever owned. But is the similar Hobbyking version. There was no motor or ESC in the box. I did buy a brushless system a little too big. The body needed a hole in the top for the capacitors. The topspeed is right under the limit where the tires start to ballooning. Must some point around 65-70kph when the car crashes. Yea spurgear did strip at some point. And real bashing is not a good idea but I only broke one suspension arm in years. I drive it with 3s because I tried to use only one kind of lipo for my planes and cars 😅

From stock the braking is set quite high and you might want to turn it down. Same with the lipo cut off at 3v, you'd be fine to drop that to 2.8v.

Never drop the lipo cut off below 3V! You will most certainly shorten the life of your battery.

So took my new vrx rh1017pr (which is basically a ftx vantage with carbon bits added) to the local track. 2nd lap and hit the edge of the track. Bent front cvd and broken front suspension arm :( any hints on ways to strengthen the front arms? They don't seem to have any fiber reinforcement in the plastic and seem brittle.

Most cars will do damage when you hit immovable objects .. we do use GT85 on the bearing and moving parts and when you put it on plastic is seems to make them less brittle and give them some flex and reduces breakages ..

@@PopalongRC I vaguely remember boiling plastic suspension arms when we use to race back in the 80s. Perhaps plastic was different then. Boiling it made it less brittle. Perhaps it was not true but interesting.

I've fitted my madbull on vantage 2.0 shocks fittings on ftx 550 15t on 17t pinoin goes like sink .

@@PopalongRC don't know how send pics how I done it.was a total rebuild all ball raced metal diffs ,shafts ,drive cups,no grease just Teflon oil in the diffs can't believe the sc takes you got try it .got bezgar 8 bezgar 6,7, 8, hybrid all in one missile will cope 3s lol.

I have that servo saver set on my Outlaw but for some reason the left post has a bit of play, as in it moves up and down about 1mm which makes the left front wheel a touch wobbly. Do you guys have the same thing with yours?

Nobody believes I got my stock ftx tracer bezgar 6 on brushed 390 3s lipo but had too make it ballraced and metal diffs shafts cups oil shocks it loves too wheelie.

We have a few local tracks, we are based in Bedfordshire, unfortunately quite a trek from Norfolk.
