RC Car Lipo Storage Voltage

Firstly I must say I hope you are all well and looking after yourselves and keeping away from others while this horrible mess of Corona is happening. I wanted to bring some videos out to keep you all sane.
I felt conscious of the fact that with no racing and our LIPO batteries are just sitting there with an unknown voltage in them and thought there are a few of you out there that may appreciate some knowledge on what voltage you should store them to.
I hope this helps, I will try and bring some more videos to you in this horrid time and give you some tips which will help you with your hobby while you are stuck at home staying safe.

Hello Trish I just wanted to say , fare play to you , what you do and the advice you give is so important to racers of all ages , I started racing in 1987 at the West Midlands buggy club tamiya Boomerang then P.B mini mustang yokomo super dog fighter and then on to the world winning cat xls. I haven't raced for many years but as soon as I have the funds I will be back with intention of 4wd Schumacher as that's wsre my heart is. Let's see . From pricing up I reckon £1500 would be a good place to be in regards to starting funds . I remember back in the day racing against people like Jamie Booth and Craig Dreshler, forgive the spelling. Doing the nationals and mainly midlands clubs. Really good memories and my big hope is to be able to do it with my Dad again as he's amazing and a wonderful Father . Let's hope we get through these tough times and get to the good times on the other side. Take care everyone Alex Peacock

Another great vid👍 One thought I had for a future video is maybe showing us how you change the L1 belts. I think the center section of the L1 may scare some people (myself included lol) and maybe showing us the most convenient way you guys do it at the track would ease some of the worry of working on the L1s middle section 😉 Keep up the great work👍

a question : is that the same storage voltage for normal (7'4) lipos and for hiv (7'6) lipos ?????? thanks.

Hello Trish, great videos, I have had a quick look at my charger and I cant see where I can set the storage charge voltage. I have a SkyRC D200 it probably doesn't do it. it storage charges to 3.80V so it wont be far off. What charger are you using?

Questions for you, the two quick clips on the front hub carrier kit one low and one high, what does moving them result in handling feel, they are not mentioned in the LD set up section, do you charge your LiPo to a lower voltage for wet or low grip conditions if so can you describe what to do and results in motor performance. Hi Neale, I’ve talked about it in setup videos I explain it as axle hieght. The lower it is on a 2wd the more grip you get and the higher the easier it is to driver but you get push. You can charge lower on low grip tracks to take some bottom end out.

Neale Carbis Im pretty sure LRP has a couple nice battery chargers available 🤔 I think I even saw one on Trish’s work bench in the video

My skyrc t200 takes lipos to 3.83 in storage mode.

I have a 2S 5000mAh 25c lipo battery. I have a balancing charger that does not have a "storage charge" feature. I am reading in the manuel for the lipo battery that it should be stored at 3.6v-3.9v. What does this mean? Should I just charge up the battery to 50% capacity and store it that way?
