Dub Step thank you! What buckets are you using? Which brand? I used the yokomo s15 headlight buckets, might of trimmed the front off with a pair of snips I believe. The taillights are dmagic from tetsujin, more of a epoxy material type. I didn’t have to modify those

Tamiya Polycarbonate body cleaner. It’s the safest thing to use to prevent the body from distorting when removing overspray. You can also try 91% Isopropyl Alcohol (aka rubbing alcohol; must be 90% or higher) but it’s only effective if the paint hasn’t hardened as you’ll have to apply a generous amount of pressure if the paint has cured. DO NOT use lighter fluid or nitro fuel as you’ll damage the lexan either by clouding it or melting it, the latter happening by leaving the nitro fuel on too long.

Shoe goo or double sided foam tape

Péter Soponyai Apologize on late reply, I use a fine tip Sharpie permanent marker. I know others use a marker made for Gundam models or very thin vinyl cut at different widths. WRAP UP NEXT makes a tint film, purchased it from Rc art. You can also use a wider/fat tip sharpie marker but practice on spare lexan so you do not get overlapping strokes. elite kill I have all of the info in the video description. I used silver from Pactra to back it. You back the paint so the shell isn’t translucent when light hits it. I usually do 3-5 coats of the main color and 3 coats of the backing. TOTALLY depending on color preference though. Certain backing colors also effect how the main color pops as well, best idea is to take a two liter soda container, cut it up and spray test sections to get the color you want to achieve instead of using a brand new body. Id probably say a silver then white. Use some of the spare lexan to test spray, or a 2 liter pop bottle.

waytoomuch always wanted that shell, possibly, depends on the brand. Tamiya usually has them in the white/black plastic depending on the shell like the Subaru hatch.

Somehow your comment was labeled as spam. The additional parts on the S15 I installed were, lightbuckets, headlight tint film, windshield wipers/mirrors and the exhaust. For the lightbuckets, I used the yokomo headlights for the Toyo S15 and D Craft taillights from Tetsujin. Simply applied a small amount of hot glue around the perimeter to seal them in place. For the tint film, I cut an appropriate size, applied light heat from a hair dryer/heat gun. Then pressed it firmly onto the mold for no air bubbles. Exhaust, I used hot glue again to attach it in the proper position. Same thing with the wipers and mirrors. Any other questions please let me know.

Yes, certain brands have them already pre-cut as well so it’s as simple as peel an stick (granted you can get in in position first try, which is tough)

Window trim is around 4:11. For the door gaps I used a fine tip sharpie. A lot of people may use shoe goo or double stick tape for the bumpers. I use hot glue but after the gun has cooled off a bit, if its too hot it will take the paint.

sorry about that. I mainly use hot glue on my detachable bumpers. Your better off using quality double stick tape. 3M makes great stuff. just make sure your paint is fully cured beforehand. if you go hot glue route and your gun gets real hot, be sure to unplug it and let it cool a bit so the glue doesnt botch the paint.

NigelPlayz YT this^ make sure you wash it out prior as well to get all of the oils off from the production for the best adhesion of the paint. Light multiple coats to get a nice solid color then back it. Be sure to let the coats cure before applying new. Any other questions let me know man

The lights have light buckets on the inside which make them look scale. On the bodies there is a plastic film which you can use as masking.

Itsmee 007 To make it look like a primer underneath? I’d spray the inside of that bumper with a black/white/gray, then first spray the outside with an adhesion promoter, then lay a couple coats of whatever color. Note, when spraying on the outside it most likely will have a matte finish

Rc art sells a yellow headlight tint film. Can also sharpie the plastic but whatever your preference.

Apologies on the late response, It's a tint film made by WRAP-UP Next RC, rc-art.net/product_eng/4571344911605 I simply heat it up with a hair dryer and press it to fit the mold. Other than that you can use a sharpie with a thick head, just make long strokes. Practice first on a 2-liter pop bottle plastic.

SCALED OUT GARRETT I haven’t been in the hobby for at least 1.5years like I used to, I have a DLIKE Rer hybrid. You need to check out yokomo yd2 or MST. I’d suggest making a Facebook and finding rc drift groups in your area or finding a RWD rc drift for the most information

redjewlsyn 06 never a dumb question. Removing the paint from the window area? I'd mask off the area real well then use Rc nitro fuel on a small towel for the larger areas. Then q tips for the edges. Rc nitro fuel vs isopropyl alcohol because the oil in the fuel is less harsh on the plastic from what I've read.

redjewlsyn 06 ahhh lol you wrote "how do you get the black paint off the windows" didn't think you meant spraying or painting them When you purchase a body (depending on the brand) it comes with window masks. You put those on the inside before you spray your body color. After spraying the body color (inside of course) you remove those masks carefully. After the body color dries then spray a tint depending how dark you want to go.

Thanks man. No reason to clear unless you paint from the outside...not sure if someone even makes a clear with a flex agent (in case you hit something to prevent cracking). Once you paint the inside then peel off the outer film it’s high gloss

Spray (303416) x 3 coats You can buy these RTR or in Kits, totally depends on the kit/car you go with if it includes a body or not. I'd recommend finding a local group if you haven't, to try out their chassis to get an idea of what to go with. Right now, RWD is the norm. Using a small gyro, the front wheels auto counter steer. Might say that's no fun, but this can call for real tight tandems, plus it looks scale. (yes there are great drivers who can do no gyro and awd, and still perform just as well) Good place to get started: driftmission.com/guides/ Check the forum part, explore, read, learn. As far as tamiya super glue, I really dont know. I dont think it would. You would have to spray a test piece and see if the glue reacts, Im pretty sure it does. Joe Ghetto purchase tamiya ps smoke tint for windows. After spraying the body from the inside and completing the backing coats. Then you can remove the window masks and apply to your preference. Let me know if you have any other questions
