@@jevries I build model cars myself I've been doing it since probably 12 years old but the last eight years that I've been building model cars I've been doing it with only one hand unfortunately because my right arm is paralyzed from a bad accident that I was in and I try so hard to build a model car to look as beautiful as yours but my painting skills are no where near yours I have an airbrush kit and never used it because I can't figure it out I use the spray bottles spray cans to spray paint my cars and then I paint the Interiors with a paintbrush but hey man you are phenomenal with these cars man

Nice to finally see the inner workings of your work. How is the ram of cylinders limited so they dont pop out?
@jevries7 жыл бұрын
DJBAcHIGU The RC servo is limited to 180 degrees so it pulls the ram with line attached 12mm out of the cylinder. To make sure the ram doesn't pop out during fast action I attached a line between the racks limiting it to aprox. 45 degrees angle.

Are you still making your own universal joints? Or did you find a specific one to work with 1/24? Or 1/20?
@jevries6 жыл бұрын
For this 1/20 truck I found model train U joints in Japan that work perfect. On the 1/25 scale rides I create my own joints out of brass.

@jevries6 жыл бұрын
Hi Juan, The universal joints I bought in japan are amde for scale trains. On ebay they sell similar ones in the US. I used the original rear axle that came with the kit and used Scale trix slot car gears to make the truck run. There's no differential.

@jevries2 жыл бұрын
The ones I used on this build are made by Wave company and are called A-Spring. 1mm OD. You can also check for those ceiling hangers they use in stores to hang cardboard signs onto. These feature long springs and a pack is very cheap.
